Also, nearly all canals, streams, and rivers in the SEA area are brown. Not because of pollution, but because of sediment.
You know - there are no signs about whether the water is safe - kids swim ANYWHERE - even the dirty canals in Bangkok. This river was somewhat clean - but has the farm runoff of farmers the whole way up the river... chemicals and stuff I'm sure. Two things about Thais... Thai people SLEEP anywhere. Thai kids SWIM anywhere. It gets hot here man!

Yes, Thai kids are some of the most adorable kids in the world. They are really cute! They say and do the cutest things! I just hope there's no crocodiles in that river. Otherwise, there's a whole buffet full of delicious orderves for them to chomp down!
Thai kids KNOW how to have fun... and, like east indians - their parents LET them. They are very free as children to have fun most anyway they want. They don't grow up spoiled... strange, huh?

Yes you can swim everywhere pretty much.
even in the Bkk river in the centre of town, people bath in the water. It's fine, just don't drink it.

That water looks okay to me--it's fairly clear. It's not nearly as muddy as the Chao Phraya, and Bangkok klongs.
