  • Um actually he died at age 54

and u forgot alot of shows that he or the muppets appeared on, mainly the ed sullivan show and the jimmy dean show.

  • R.I.P JIM HENSON

  • I'm doing a project on Jim at school, thanks for making this!

  • didn't know you can get a degree in Home Ec.

  • hahaha neither did I.

  • Ha ha ha Jim Henson majored in home ec! Ha ha ha! I would have never expected that! I always thought film, theater, philosophy/psychology, engineering or the arts, would be one of his majors. That's awesome though, home ec! Maybe it was because of sewing and textiles. He really knew how to make fine creations from just about any material. <3 U Jim. :o)

  • Nice job. Good biography in detail!

  • thank you

  • how did jim henson die anyway?

  • a toxic infection that he didnt notice

  • @shadamy10 if i remember right it was pneumonia when he was working on one of his movies. a sad day, and a big loss

  • Thanks for this montage of his work. A man's interest and passion turns into a children's series that is shown all over the world - to as far as the Far East where I grew up in the 70s without a clue of the English Language. Sesame Street is the one show that introduced me to the Language, and having 'friends' on screen whom I adore. Think about the love and language skills children get all over the world through this series. It is unthinkable and under appreciated. Thank you Mr Henson,

  • you forgot that Rowlf was the second major role for the muppets. He was the first one to be on a national show (The Jimmy Dean Show - 1963) but I love the vid. Great job.
