Russia was not a communist country, it run by a dictatorship. There has never been a legitimate attempt at communism. They have all been dictatorships under the guise of communism to gain support from the people.
Please skip the communist propaganda. Communism failed in dozens of countries. Workers' self-management is less effective than normal capitalism and therefore force/dictaroships are needed to oppress the capitalist way of production. Why do you think all communist countries turned into dictatorships? The "Oh, this was not REAL communism"-phrase is primitive propaganda

The pressure to innovate, increase productivity in capitalism is bigger and therefore the production itself is more efficient. Marx believed that the sozialisation of the means of production would increase productivity to a new level. That was nonsense. Factories organized by the workers themselves have failed 1000 times in capitalist countries, they cannot compete and need a dictatorship to repress capitalist competition/freedom of property. Only indoctrinated fools don't see the reality. Sorry

Capitalists do not want to be "liberated"/forced into communist way of producing. If only one individual decides to build up a comany...your communist utopia breaks down, since it cannot exist in a world with capitalist competition, which is able to produce more effective... Without repression, no communism.
