This is so great! I want to read this book. My girls are all great students. I feel that one of the main reasons for this is that I "let them be kids" when they get home from school. I ignore homework sent home in grades k=2, because it is really unnecessary. Homework should be given to the kids that don't apply themselves during the school day. This is coming from a parent with a teaching degree. If kids do nothing but school work all day, they will end up hating school in general.
