You can wrist flick this knife open w/o the stud or the lock mech. It’s much faster than an auto-knife. Take’s a little practice. Just hold it and flick.

I'm with you on that. I don't like serratted knives. Plain edge for me. I have the Grip 551, B/M2550 Mini Reflex Auto, Sog Flash II, Sog Aegis Tini (all black),Rat 1 Folder. All of these plain edge. Like they teach us in law enforcement, if it's sharp enough to go in, it's sharp enough to come out. Love your vids. Watch all of them

Outstanding review! I hear you on the size, If you were a rancher or trapper in need of a larger blade for more cutting performance. I could see it. But for the average Jo's needs. it's a little big.

When you take yours apart to clean it, how much do you turn the pivot screw to get it to smoothly open and close but have no blade play. I'm having trouble with mine, getting it with no play but still be smooth. Thanks for your time.

@allmotor91 Honestly I can never get it perfect. I have found that it will always have a very slight amount of blade play. I usually get it to the point that I am satisfied with but if I get it where there is not blade play it will not open smoothly. You will have to fiddle with it to get it just right.

I have always liked smaller knives but as I get more and more I have started to like larger knives as well. For the Griptilian I like the MIni because it has full steel liners and has a very solid feeling. The Full sized Grip only has liners half way though and it has a very different feeling when you use it.

I wasnt sure if i was gonna get the full size barrage or the full size grip..but i found a full black plain edge one for 99.99 canadian so i think im gonna get it lol, the barrage is 110 canadian so yeah, and I would worry about having the barrage taken away or something I think.

Yea I would go with the Griptilian instead of the Barrage. Also, Canada has some strict laws on assisted knives.

yeah its hard to know, I mean it is legal to have an assisted opener, and it is legal to have a blade on a folder up to I think 5 inches. But then you have to think having anything that is for self defense is illigal so...I'm sure they would assume a big spear point assisted opener was for self defense lol. And I don't want a knife that im gonna spend over 100$ on taken away XD that would suck hardcore lol.

what do you do with your knives besides collecting them

Some knives I get specifically for my collection and others I get as EDC knives. I have at least 2 knives on me at all time but most of the time more. There is something that I need my knife for everyday.

you can get a full size or a mini in black at cabelas for 100 bucks for the full size and 90 for the mini and they are in D2 tool steel they are plain eage

Yea iMovie comes on Macs but you can buy the software for windows if you wanted to use the program.
