  • I love this song, and I can't help but wonder where these guys are today

  • This song has it all - great lyrics, killer guitar, and some great vocal harmonies to boot. One of my favourites.

  • Saw them in Tempe in Jan '96 and we listened to them lots after that. A real soundtrack to my life after that. And yesterday I really did see the Mekong while flying from Taipei to Bangkok. Thx 4 posting!

  • @ykmgeedee Totally identify with the music being a soundtrack for our lives! :)

  • Love this album. We use to play just about every song off this album in a cover band in 1999.

  • this could be one of the best songs ever made!!

  • "Smile to the girl in the door

    Another four dollar whore

But don't look her in the eyes

    She'll break your heart."

Those lines always hit me. I LOVE the writing.

  • @the1st3rd Just... no. Wrong.

  • Woo Hoo! They are just so awesome and bring the biggest SMILE to my face. So in lieu of that, I thought I'd share it with my friends and that's "YOU" !!!

  • Shameless spam alert :P

I have a cover of this song on my channel which I believe deserves your time and attention. Feedback would be much appreciated. Great to see that there's still tons of fans of this great band and song.

  • @00roastedlampost00 I saw your cover!! I saw all of your covers for that matter, actually... loved them all :D

  • @chubacaman1 Thanks man :)

  • GREAT SONG!! LOVE THESE GUYS!!!

  • love this jam... one of my favorite road songs.

  • best refreshments song ever and they sound good in concert. I woulda loved to see them live sometime. are they still together anyone know

  • @estuben87 Hell yes they're mostly around. They are Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers with only Roger and P.H (the drummer) being part of the new band, look 'em up, you'll be glad you did.

  • This is SWEET! I just came across this old footage of My Favorite Refreshments song, the bass line grabs me and the brilliant lyrics that make me sing along, "...Here's to Life!!" ( lol, wonder how crazy Kody & his friends thought me & Glenn were Saturday night when we were singin along to this in the car. hahaha)

  • What are you people on? RCPM is still as great or better. Fizzy Fuzzy Big and Buzzy was a great album, but since then, Roger has only gotten better as a songwriter.

  • love this

  • Bring Larson back! Clyne needs an edgy, scowling lead guitar player!!!

  • Ahhh..I was there!!! drunk!!! hahaha good times..

  • I have to agree with you zombieguitar93!! I absolutely love the entire album!!!

  • What an awesome band. This brings back memories of my last years of highschool. I miss those days, I'm right there with you christofra. Funny, here's to life!

  • god! the guitar player is sooo incredible.....

  • Sadly, that guitarist succumbed to substance abuse. I like RCPM but it was never the same after Brian fell apart.

  • Some of the band members still play together in a band called Roger Clyne (the lead singer from The Refreshments) and the Peacemakers or RCPM. Still, it's nothing like the Refreshments songs :(

  • I've had MANY hangovers due to this song and cd , sure miss the good lo days !

  • Is it just me or does it look like the audio doesn't quite match the video?

Good tune though, miss those guys.

  • You need another Mekong... I'm buying!

  • Damn, this is a great song. Maybe my favorite from the nineties.

  • definetly mine!!! I heard of these guys just about two years ago and I was blown away!!!!! I was so surprised that this was an 'old' song.

  • why would you be surprised you should know good music like this doesn't exist anymore.

  • best song on the album!!! wish i could have seen them live...

  • You can - RCNP plays all over the US

  • ive never heard of them playing in seattle though...

  • Best Video of this song that I've seen so far! Thanks for sharing!

  • Beauty!

  • Going to see them tomorow! HERE's TO LIFE!

  • Great video. Where was this concert at? I'm going to see RCPM in August and can't wait!

  • well done

  • simply awesome.

  • Brian Blush's riffs + tone > Life itself

  • I am greater then life itself. Awesome band though wish they were still here

  • well in a way they are. theyre now roger clyne and the peacemakers but theyre definitly not as good

  • fu on you sir "definitly not as good"

  • They aren't the same without Brian Blush. Face it. The song writing also isn't the same quality as Fizzy Fuzzy Big and Buzzy (imo the best album by anyone ever) was.

  • @zombieguitar93 I agree, absolutely. This song has the most amazing lyrics

  • @zombieguitar93 Hey man i heard Brian Blush is playing with a new band, Toluenes i think. there has been a song leaked w/them called her way or the high way. Always loved his sound

  • Fantastic audio on this. Thanks so much for posting it!
