  • the first of a looong line of episodes... marathon time.

  • "HATE GOD DAMN CAZADORS KILL THEM FIRE and BRIMSTONE" ??????

  • Comment removed

  • U have an epic commentary voice

  • just yesterday i asked myself "i wonder if necro is gonna make a fallout new vegas playthrough" well i FINALY go onto his channel and i found it! happiest moment of my week.

  • @Necroscope86 what mods are you using in this playthrough.

  • *Spoiler* I loled when he said "mmm, That will do me!"

  • i love your voice

  • As much as it hurts my masculinity i let out a girlish squeel when i saw this in my sub box.

  • I don't get why people constantly bitch and complain about how FO3 ruined the Fallout series. FO3 introduced me to the series and I thought it was amazing. So amazing in fact, that I went back and played the original 2 and loved them as well. At least when Bethesda made FO3 they made it on the other side of the US which was relatively unexplored giving them full creative design. It's not like they pissed all over the West and said "Where's your cannon now?" People seriously need to calm down.

  • @Necroscope86 what r these mod call plz and ty

  • @jazber14 With Fallout3, I played it and got scared/bored fast from the ghouls:P but once you actually get in to the game you understand how big it is and how much you can do<3

  • Am I the only one who wishes that Necro would actually post the full list of mods that he's using? I'd like to add a few things from his list to my game.

  • @skull132 I pretty much found the same ones and or better ones. The only thing I want is where it brings the npc's names down right above the top left of the dialogue box. And the speech options are all spread out instead of having to scroll down and find them and mis click a lot

  • @TheSufferRenegade If I understood you correctly, then you're speaking of the MTUI mod. Look it up on NVNexus. See, this is why I would like to see a full list, so I could find a specific mod that he's using and I'm searching for.

  • @skull132 I found it, I think lol. I just have to put in some fonts. But thank you.

  • God what's your interface mod? I want it D:!

  • This game was just as good as Fallout 3 I feel. I've waited till now to start playing it to avoid any pre-conceptions about it. So far I'm at Jacobstown and so far it has been.. probably better than Fallout 3 because of hardcore mode.

  • i like this one better then fallout 3 :D

  • Have high charisma and speech actually enables you to do certain good rewarding quests.

  • @Shadowmov3r high charisma is pretty useless in this game in my opinion in fact its more handy to have a low charisma so you can enjoy the bonusses from party time mentats and moonshine and such

id even say that putting charisma to 2 is a waste

    its just my opinion though

  • Hey Necro, what mods are you using? I am just curious and interested in a few good mods. If they're in a later video i apologise. =P

  • hmmm it was hard to hear the in game characters

  • Oh. Mah. Gawd. FALLOUT NEW VEGAS. By necro! :D :D :D! FO3 and FONV are my favourite RPGs.

Hey necro. ever think of lping Fallout 1 or 2? i wanna play them myself but it would be awesome if you did.

  • From what I have gathered, having a high endurance at one part in the game will really pay off, because you need a high endurance to get as many implants as possible

  • holy lizard piss hes playing new vegas :]

  • @Necroscope86 hi necro are you thinking of making a lp our playng the remakes of resident evil?

  • I bought this game recently but couldn't get it to install on my PC...buggy piece of shit.

  • LET DOWN?!

I love it, I thought it was the best, best plots, best places to go, epic places to go, epic factions.

  • Good to see your back making LPs, iv watched alot of games youv done, and all i ask is can you put subtitles on in your games? its a small thing but can make a big difference to alot of people. Thanks

  • @necro

I will watch these even if they restrict you to 5 minute videos. Keep em coming. I have suffered insomnia for two years till I discovered these videos. I get classic amazing games, great commentary, and a relaxing way to end a rough day fighting terror.

  • Fallout New Vegas nice, was waiting for this. Thank you Necro

  • I love this game sooo much i wish i had it on my pc sadly it cant run it so i have it on the 360. I only have the first 2 dlc i need to get old world blues i do not know if any other have come out any one know?

  • Fallout New Vegas only costs £15.99

  • I'm buying this for my 360

  • @tdbnasc3 how much is it?

  • @IvanovHotmailboy Not that expensive 20U$ new and 18U$ pre-owned

  • New Vegas> Fallout 3 and I guess it will have to be damn near the end of the world before Necro does a game straight.

  • Harry: The vanquisher of Evil, Destroyer of Super Mutants (and other assorted monstrosities), Carrier of Documents both important and inane and keeper of Dogs with strange names?

  • @R0arPenguin I lived in Bethesda when Fallout 3 came out. That was a bit strange, too. :-)

  • Already seen a let's play of this, and completed the game myself too, but i might watch anyway coz you modded it so much so it sould be different to my playthrough

  • Good to see you again Harry!

  • if only the strip was as lively as the intro pretends it to be.

  • Looks like this game was.....

    *puts on Shades*

    Rigged from the start

(I'm so tired of this meme)

  • i have been hoping he whould do a playthough new vegas this gonna be epic *crys*

  • Good vid Necro =D

    Use lods on this ?

  • @Ludo66X *Mods , sorry.

  • 2 Charisma? But there are butt load of speech checks through out that can get you nice things, you'll miss that extra early boost. :(

  • @maxi150 having anything higher then 3 charisma is redundant in this game. Now, if having a very low charisma affected your ability to have a high speech stat in anything but the early game, i could understand... The only reason to have high speech is if you're playing on hardcore mode and planning on using companions since charisma affects "companion nerve" which influences their DT and damage. otherwise, charisma is flat out useless aside from it's initial boost to speech/barter

  • subtitles please?

  • this is the true sequel to FO1/FO2

  • This is the true expansion to fallout 3

  • @philyburkhill1 its FO3 in a new setting the first 2 were way better

shame they stopped making van buren

  • @philyburkhill1 why ?

  • @yellow6100 Because FO3 fucked up the canon and ruined the story. Not to mention the bland story and writing. New Vegas fixed that, because it was written by the guys who wrote FO 1 and 2.

  • @AlexLong1000 How did Fallout 3 ruin the canon? I'm not going to try to disuade you, or hell even defend it, I just want to know your reason for saying it.

  • @thatfallout3guy Did you play Fallout 1/2? If not, I shall explain. 2 main things. 1) Enclave should NOT be in DC, they were wiped out. 2) They made the brotherhood of steel Holier-than-thou white knights in FO3. Even going as far as TO SPEAK like medieval knights! They did not do that in FO1 and 2. Sure they were "good guys" in a sense, but they had their flaws. They didn't care about killing civilians if it meant getting new tech for weapons, and stuff like that. FO3 ruined that.

  • @AlexLong1000 Wait, if the Enclave were wiped out, then why are there remnants in New Vegas? (I didn't play too much of Fallout 1 or 2)

  • @thatfallout3guy And that is the one gripe I had with New Vegas, the remnants shouldn't have been there. However, it is more plausible than in FO3, where there is still an entire army. It sort of makes sense that a few would have survived.

  • @AlexLong1000 Didn't the Brotherhood in DC mention that they disobey orders from the rest in order to stay and help out the people the civilians? I don't really remember since it has been a loooong while since I played FO3.

  • @AlexLong1000

They didn't care about killing civilians for getting new tech. The Outcasts were exactly like that. They were even bigger assholes than the regular BOS.

Also, if you could, please explain something to me- I've never played Fallout 1 or 2, but I'm playing 3 right now (and when I'm done, I'll play New Vegas). When I first bought both games together, the used version of Fallout 3 was twice the price of a new FO: NV. I asked a clerk, and he said that fans didn't like FONV. Why is that?

  • @herofromthedark Yeah, the outcasts were the REAL BoS. And about fans not liking it, if you read some online forums and stuff, you can find a general pattern:

People who played and liked Fallout 1 or 2: Liked New Vegas more than Fallout 3

People who played Fallout 3 before any other fallout game: Liked Fallout 3 more than New Vegas

Because so many people got FO3 without even knowing what fallout was, there are more people who don't like New Vegas as much, cause they don't get what FO3 ruined.

  • @AlexLong1000

    "Don't get what FO3 ruined."

Now, we're all entitled to our opinions, and no one person's opinions are more important than another's, but consider how games change. When time moves forward, people's tastes change, and game companies have to change with 'em.

It's kind of like how people complain about how Resident Evil 4 and 5 ruined the RE series, or how the new Final Fantasy games aren't that good (I am a fellow fan that dislikes all FF games after FFX). You gotta go with da flow.

  • @herofromthedark I'm not talking about gameplay, I'm fine with the gameplay moving forward like it did, I'm talking about the story, the lore. I meant "What FO3 ruined in regards to story". You should ruin and retcon plot point in an effort to "move forward". With RE, I don't like the newer one's cause they simply aren't scary to me, and I still like FF, just believe it's not as good as it used to be. Hell, I'm one of the few that loved XIII, yeah, I know, crazy XD

  • @AlexLong1000

Ah, well then, if it's about history and lore, then I agree 100 percent.

That's one of the reasons why I didn't like RE5. Most folks dislike RE 4 and 5 because of the gameplay, but I kinda liked it. I DID NOT however, like how they thumbed their nose at established canon in RE5. Things like Spencer trying to make humanity evolve, Birkin's virus that was given to wesker, and that stuff. In my opinion though, only RE1 was scary- the rest weren't and rehashed the same scares.

  • @herofromthedark Didn't come here expecting Resident Evil comments, but I just wanted to agree with you on one comment. "Only RE1 was scary - the rest weren't and rehashed the same scares." I agree with you, most of it anyway. I do agree that they rehashed most of the same "jump" scares, and they did become a bit predictable, but 2/3/CV had their scary moments. I do agree most of all with the fact that Resident Evil 1 was the scariest of all of them. ESPECIALLY the REMAKE.

  • @KScholefield51

No kiddin'. Ravens crashing through windows, dogs crashing through windows, zombies through windows, lickers through windows, Mr. X through the wall, Birkin through the wall, Nemesis through the wall.... I could go on.

In the first game, it was new and exciting- now, whenever I see a long corridor with windows, I know what's coming way ahead of time. They should've dropped the "jump" scares, and go with tension scares- like how Silent Hill does it! The regenerators were like that

  • @herofromthedark Oh God, I remember going through RE4 being disappointed about how scary it wasn't. And then I meant the Regenerators. Jesus christ those things were scary.

But I prefer Silent Hill over RE. I never played a Silent Hill game until last year, and my God they're good. Well, 1-4 are fantastic. After that...ehh. Still looking forward to Downpour though.

  • @herofromthedark Shouldn't*

  • what about charisma?? 2? hmmm

  • @philyburkhill1 While Fallout 3 didn't exactly do what the others did, I think that it was still pretty damn fun as an alternate storyline. But I do agree, this one lives up to the Fallout name better.

  • NV is just flat out better than fallout3, unless maybe you played fallout3 to death and were sick of fallout and for some reason expected NV to be totally different game? If anyone ever played new vegas first I reckon they'd loathe F3 when they played it... F3 has much less balance and diversity, worse writing... worse gfx even (more boring layouts!)

  • .............headshot.............

  • played this game so many times........

  • It's easy to get the INT Implant before lvl 2. Just get up on mountains across from Quarry Junction to sneak past the Deathclaws, then walk up to the clinic. Just watch your XP from discovering locations and pillage everything that's not nailed down, you can scrape together 4000 with a little resourcefulness. BTW this post for anyone interested in getting 10 INT before lvl 2. I know necro's got this stuff prerecorded way ahead of time. :) And good luck, with the LP Necro.

  • Disregard welsby43 (sorry, bro). Plenty of people have the entirety of FO:NV (DarksydePhil/DSPGaming, etc).

Also, I think that FO:NV has a better atmosphere than FO3. I definitely prefer it over the dc wasteland.

  • I'm the one guy who likes Benny. You gotta love how Matthew Perry (the biggest fan of the Fallout EVER) is the voice of that guy!!

  • You`ve made my day, necro

  • WOWOWOWOWOAH~!

necro's wish in 3 came true. playing nv finally. awesome! and i have the week off which means i know what im doing. playing fallout while watching an epic player play new vegas. JUSTICE~!

  • Charisma only effects the toughness of your companions, I allways knock it down to 1 and put intelligence to 10 (because companions are immortal in normal and I don't use them in hardcore)

  • @Safer7Sephiroth Charisma also directly affects your speech and barter skills.

  • @zcdohl I know, but the effect is minimal, and unless he's modded in some charisma skill checks I can't think of any charisma based dialogue options

  • I was so excited to see this in my sub box. I actually like this Fallout just as much as 3. I don't see why it gets such a bad rap.

  • Sees two charisma...OMG NOOOOOOOOO

  • Quality is perfect

The only way I found (Venilla wise) is implants available from the New Vegas Medical Clinic. But you can only have one of each up to the times the number you starting endurance is. If you say have 3 endure, you can only have three increased. If you have 6, you can have 6 stats raised. But it costs money

  • @BloodReaperZ Not true ..theirs a way to get 1 more implant buy a Endurance implant now you get 1 extra :D unfortaintly it costs you still 2000 caps

  • @Sithno Sorry but no, the game doesn't allow that. Unless they changed that but I believe they didn't

  • @BloodReaperZ strange on the Xbox360 it work ...i wonder if the PC version is different

  • @BloodReaperZ I play the xbox version

  • @BloodReaperZ ahh there it is you where right i forgot i havent made a new Courier since HH so yeah of course i wouldnt know they fixed it made a new one today and sure enough 5 for 5 even with the Endurance implant

  • Fallout New Vegas has a much better story the F3 to me. The enemies are tougher, mainly those Deathclaws, unlike how things were in the last game. I'm excited to see how Necro will do things here, since I already played long on this game.

  • Fallout 3 was very bland in its story and characters compared to New Vegas imo.

  • necro i have so much to catch up too D; i have to watch all the vids of ff7,ff8, like half of fallout 3, annd now this ? lol go easy on us ty for the great necro :)

  • Skip Dead money, its awful. The characters and story is good but fucking hell if it isn't tedious to play. Then Honest hearts almost forgot to write a story.... Old World Blues had a fantastic story and decent enough combat but had some horribly repetitive tasks in the middle for some reason but good armour to get.

  • @Equilibr1st For my money, Dead Money is the best DLC available for either Fallout 3 or New Vegas. The story and the storytelling is perfect, the characters are well realized, and the setting is brilliant. The gameplay takes a little bit of getting used to, but if you're used to stealth-based games like Metal Gear Solid it shouldn't be too hard to get into. But, even if you can't, it's totally worth it for the story alone. HH was a let down, IMO, and I haven't played OWB yet.

  • I should add that I'd think that you'd be right at home playing Dead Money, Necroscope. A friend of mine described it as Fallout's take on the survival horror genre. It seems to me that if you like the early Resident Evil games, you have a pretty good chance of enjoying Dead Money.

  • @seancdaug OWB is worth considering, just be ready for an extremely long intro, mgs4 style. I do like mgs' but even with 100 sneak the stupid ghosts were spotting me, the weapons were pretty poor, the mist was annoying and the holograms in the vault were a bit of a pisstake. I do agree that the story and characters were fantastic as I said, It's just a shame I got frustrated at a certain point and sent Christine (was that her name?) down the elevator on her own and she turned on me. I liked her

  • @Equilibr1st Oh, I'm definitely going to play OWB, since I love the concept. It's just that I finished up my second playthrough shortly after Honest Hearts came out, and with the delay in the release of OWB I ended up starting on Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines instead. I'll probably go back to New Vegas when Lonesome Road is released next month and pick up with both that and OWB then.

  • what IS that bear doing? 3:38

  • @thewonderfulwick its a two headed bear.

  • Fallout New vegas video came so unexpected for me, almost as unexpected that i decided to quit smoking. i guess this is the second good thing for me that happend this week :D

  • I hope you don't have the same freezing problems as I did, although I had the PS3 version.

  • Fallout NV is definitely a throwback to the first two Fallout games (it was developed by the same people, more or less). So it appeals to old school Fallout fans like me, though I can see why folks introduced to the series with F3 might find it jarring.

My only complaints are the "expansion pack" nature of the game (which you mentioned, Necro) and the stability problems. But I adored it otherwise. I'm thrilled you're giving it the patented Necroscope treatment! And I love the Cazador tags. :-)

  • So awesome. I ended up buying Fallout 3 after your LP of that game and something tells me I'll end up buying New Vegas too.

  • I've never been this stoked for an LP. This is so awesome. Thanks Necro for doing this<33

  • I was really hoping you would let's play this! Yay! :D

  • please retro put subtiles on, thanks

  • D: fallout new vegas!?! i really do ♥ you.

  • This is going to be awesome you did fallout 3 and now new Vegas these are two of my favorite games and i cant wait to see you play through it

  • This is going to be Awesome Necro! Don't be discouraged simply because the videos have to be shorter - I personally never minded the breaks in your other videos before Youtube let anyone post 15+ min vids.

  • Yah! new vegas! He did an awesome job with Fallout 3, I can't wait to see how this goes

  • Yeah he got his 15 min of fame back :)

  • Could we have a Mod-list, Necro?

  • Nothing like waking up on a nice relaxing sunday to find Necro uploading new Vegas

  • if u buy this game on steam can u still mod it?

  • @TheJoshage Yes you can.

  • @TheJoshage The game depends on Steam for its activation/copy protection. Since you need Steam installed and running to even play the boxed copy, it plays fine with mods. Steam seldom cares about mods, actually, at least for single-player games.

  • New vegas strip, new vegas strip, add some jack, epic, next week, we eat point lookout.

  • Eyyyyy I am SO glad you're doing this necro!! Can't wait for the whole thing

  • Man ive been waiting for you to play this game I just broke mine or better yet my xbox did and now i can enjoy you playing this

  • isnt it like the most buggy game in like years

  • @JonathonTheAsshole ive been told it was but if it isnt its would still be a good game if it was

  • Is that supposed to be Chuck Norris on the $20 bill?

  • awsome quality

  • i've been playing this game for the past week, i was hoping you'd do a playthrough on it ^-^

    Thank you :3

    And the quality is great!

  • Quality is fantastic as per. Would you ever consider doing Skyrim? Just curious.

  • Looking great! I have really missed the Necroscope's LPs.

  • i do not like have that low of charisma. speech is one of the best skills, imo. i also never had that much need for luck ether. anyways, the quality looks like the absolute opposite of bat droppings.

  • Hey necro you gonna do fallout 1- tactics?

  • Quality is great, though perhaps you could balance the audio a bit more. Turn yourself down a hair, so the disparity between in-game voices and your own isn't as large.

  • I loved it. The PC mods just made it better.

  • Even if the vids were only 5 minutes... I will watch them to support you. I promise.

  • >:D NECRO....IS....BACK! under 45 minutes 0.o NO WORRIES NECRO! IM A HUGE FAN! AND WELL WATCH THROUGH ALL PROBLEMS AND TIME SIZES!

    -just went total crazy xD-

  • next vid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • FO:NV has it's few problems, but overall, I think it improved on FO 3. Glad you're not another person who was completely disappointed by it.

Interesting that you pick kind of the same SPECIAL distribution like me when I pick a gunslinger for this game. I'm anxious to find out how you play in the big picture.

  • the quality is great and I am glad that your doing this game because a lot of people do look down on this game but it still is a great game

  • Finally,i have been waiting for this for a while, thank you necro very much for lp,ing this game :D

  • Necroscope thank you. I am not to fond of this game but i would love to see your lets play on this. I am really hoping to see some cool mods, and to hear some halariouse comentary.

  • The quality is good as usual, however the game volume (specifically the npc voice volume) could be a bit higher.

  • WHOOPEE!!!!!!!!

  • I also can't see how anyone could say that FNV was disappointment, it is miles better than Fallout 3, more in depth and a true successor of Fallout 2!

I have yet to talk to anyone who thinks otherwise.

  • The quality is absolutely fine; I have to watch videos in 360p due to crappy internet speed, and I don't feel as though I'm missing anything. So glad to see you posting again, even if the new time limit is frustrating.

  • 12:33 you thiiiiiiiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnnnnnnnnkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk what exactly? :P

  • get rex!!!

  • Just when I had given up hope of seeing it, here it is. Atleast something to keep me entertained during work for the next day or two. YAY :)

  • Necro, just a quick message. FPSKyle did a lets play of this back in 2010 and he was not allowed to upload cgi cutscenes such as the intro. can people thumb this up so Necro atleast knows as I and many others do not want more harm coming to Necro's channel. Thank you for your work

  • @welsby43 Why the hell not? That doesn't even make sense, he can play the whole game but can't show the cutscenes? Stupid copyright.

  • @CommanderWilliams It's not like there's really any cutscenes in the game anyway, the intro is the only one

  • @CommanderWilliams Tell me about it! That is the amazing law of copyright

  • Good to see you posting again. Welcome back. (Also, the quality looks just fine)

  • The game volume was pretty low.

  • saliva choke suck i feel for ya

  • YEEEEEEEE HAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!

  • i can NOT see how anyone thinks this Fallout is Worse then F3 i mean the story is more indepth with the Courier and the Chip it goes beyond just the story minus the DLCs and the challange in F3 i took on Deathclaws with a pistol ...a Fing 10m in FNV ..i'm taking them on with Anything Automatic Rifles, miniguns, misslelauncher ANYTHING to kill them before they get to me even without hardcore mode this game Feel like a true Fallout game where you go the wrong way KISS YOUR BUTT GOODBYE!

  • @Sithno in my personal opinion. it is because gamers nowadays expect easy, which FNV was most certainly not,

  • @megaman11011 NV isn't particularly difficult, at least not with the "normal" difficulty setting on non-hardcore with a couple companions.

  • @megaman11011 Easy ...from a Fallout game??!! MADNESS thats like Saying ET for the Atari was the best game Every! thats like saying Daikatana was So Epic theirs a sequal in the works!!

  • @Sithno well said I remember my first deathclaw fight at first I thought oh piece of cake a few seconds later wow that was hard

    P.S. thats what she said

  • @Wesker1077 same here ..i went to sloan though Deathclaw Ppphhhttt i can take those Bare handed just some head shots and i'm done ...i get to the quarry ...2 seconds was all i had and i said "OHHH SH...." just before they ripped my charater a new one i quickly learned about "armored" foes that day

  • @Sithno I learned the same way but what I loved when I cleared sloan was how many deathclaws you had to take on

  • @Sithno People don't dislike Fallout: NV because they think it's too easy, it's just the atmosphere. Literally. Everything is grey and brown in Fallout 3, and the sky is always one depressing shade or another. You FEEL the wasteland. In New Vegas, skies are blue and people are happy, and the vast majority of the game's landscape is just a desert, which doesn't bring out the devastation of a nuclear attack at all.

  • @anduril9969 it is not supposed to "FEEL" the wasteland like you said, it is supposed to be that way. The atom bombs didn't go down on Vegas, or as far as I'm aware anyway.

  • @Alkia12 Not to mention that, with 200+ years since the actual war, it'd be a bit weird if humanity didn't at least start to pick up the pieces and move on....

  • @Sithno Its not that its worse than fallout 3, Its just that to some people it isn't the same experience as when they first played fallout 3, i know me and a few freinds got an amzing atmosphere playing Fo3, and in NV, but In NV it wasn't as powerful, if you get what i mean? But I agree, the story is much more in depth, and darker than fallout 3, which makes for more interesting playthroughs

  • Thank you god

  • @Necroscope86

    Quality seems good to me.

also like the shorter time better.
