My point is:
Redick scored more from the field, and Tyler scores more from the line.

Tyler will get JJ's record, because as a freshmen, Tyler scored 100 more points, North Carolina needed a freshmen Hansbrough, and Duke didn't have the need yet for a freshmen JJ. JJ scored 964 points as a senior. So far Tyler has scored about 500 if I am correct. So Tyler won't touch that, I don't think.
If/when he gets it, he deserves it. He plays with more heart than anyone I've ever seen.
But when it comes to playing basketball, JJ gets the vote.

JJ's a great shooter, but he has a hard time with the creation of a shot in the lane, or anything other than a three-pointer. That's why he's not doing well in the pros. But you can't deny that he was and is a phenomenal shooter with a great gift.

ive already made the point that his style of play doesnt work well in orlando. you cant justify saying someone sucks when they dont get enough playing time to prove otherwise. ive also already said that infact orlando has guards that work better than jj. case in point, jameer nelson. until redick plays a full game and still only averages 6 a game you cannot justify saying he sucks. he obviously showed promise to nba scouts because he was drafted into the pros.

everything you said is totally correct. Duke is a better team now and usually has a better coach. But i think it has more to do with the coach than the players on why duke wins games. Yeah well, he shoots way more free throws than JJ did. Senior night was a night in which Duke played a bad game, when North Carolina played a good one. End of story. Tyler hasn't won a national championship, 2005 has nothing to do with Tyler. It takes more talent to have 3 men after you, and shoot a contested shot from 20 feet, then it is, to shoot a lay up from 5 feet, fling your arms and go to the free throw line, and get more points. But that's just my opinion.

Yeah, well, every program has down years, and if I am correct, then North Carolina from 2002-2004 had some poor performances, including an 8-20 record sometime. Look what happened to North Carolina, they're back in the glory. Most good programs rebuild, Duke will join the club.
