1.during 90's Pak had sanctions and more sanctions after Atomic blasts were done.

2.economy went more down during 1999 to 2001 and Mush was allowed to visit only Burma in that time period.

3. after 9/11 Pak sanctions were removed.Old Loans were forgiven or resheduled. 10 Billion $ aid has been given so far. 750 Million $ per month most of it goes to army generals.

4.From US Paki sent money to Pak. other muslims invested in Pak due to fear in USA.

1. Pak Army is great but few Generals are corrupt or whatever u wanna call them.

2. Musharaf has not given freedom to media it has been taken like the independence of judiciary in some cases. Also Gov. cannot control media that much nowadays even if they try.

3. As a matter of fact there have been 25 journalists dead on Mush's time watch and many have been kidnapped by agencies.

not only that...i ask, who gave the media freedom? asnwer: Musharraf. Now, on any news channels, opposition party dogs can come and bark on about Musharraf...they have TOTAL freedom. a level of freedom Pakistani journalists have NEVER enjoyed previosuly under Nawaz or Benazir. Is this a dictator? If this is a dictator, then the Pakistani people are happy to live under Musharraf.

now musharraf is having to face these problems because of these "democratically" elected politicians mistakes of the past. these problems are not created by musharraf. musharraf is the only visionary leader who is FINALLY confronting these extremists. Lastly coming to this money hungry man's comments with regards to how Musharraf has somehow contributed to the rise in extremism. Perhaps this guy is too much of an idiot to realise that after the afghan war, the governments of his brother and Benazir all accomodated these terrorists. they NEVER confronted them or sent them back to middle east.

What about Musharraf? All economists from respectable sources agree that Pakistan has seen UNPRECEDENTED growth during Musharraf's time:

1) Overseas investment in Pakistan is forecast to reach a record $6.5 billion in the year.

2) Pakistan is among the fastest growing economies in the world as its economy has reached the size of $140 billion from a mere $70 billion a few years earlier

Just have a look at the economic condition of Pakistan under Musharraf as compared to the time of Nawaz Shareef. During Nawaz shareef's time Pakistan was about to be declared a failed, bankrupt and terrorist state.

Nawaz Shareef and Benazir were the most corrupt politicans during their respective time in office. Pakistan under these "democratic" was ranked 2 out of 180 countries on the corruption index..now, its ranked 140 out of 180 UNDER Musharraf. A massive improvement under a so-called military "dictator".
