Does anyone have any suggestions for adjustting settings on this monitor (T220)??? i cant believe how bad the colours are on this thing. i had a Hannspree Verona and bought this to replace it assuming it would be an upgrade; how wrong i was!
i really want to know something before i purchase this tv. i want to use this to watch tv and play PS3 with, not as a computer monitor. i dont have hd cable or anything like that. all i have is this white cable with the pointy thing in the end that goes into my old tv.
I have this monitor, its very good with games as QuakeLive, Quake3 Arena and Quake4 and ofcoz all other games. there is no tearing becous of the fps which is mostly set default at 60 or 125 fps the best fps options to get a very smooth display are 60-125 and 300 fps ( everything what does like 89-90 fps feels pretty bad and gives tearing )
The monitor isnt wobbly as that guy says, its a very stable 2 ms monitor good for every game.
i hate the dynamic contrast...its bright like hell when using ms word and dark as hell when watching movie...i just hate it hate it hate it hate it...
ive had this for about 1 month now and let me say it is great. the dynamic contrast is very weird though. it works by adjusting to the amount of color is displayed on the screen and dynamically changes contrast accordingly to the images shown on the monitor. this sucks because on dark screens like during boot up and during dark scenes in a movie. but through custom settings i can imitate dynamic contrast without the dynamic annoyances. screen sin't shaky like people say.
i have this monitor, and i play my ps3 on 1080p on there. i dont know the technical side behind it, or whether or not its only supposed to go up to 720p, all i know is that it looks very nice and crisp.
the t220 which i have is 20000:1 in Dynamic contrast mode which is weird. it adjusts contrast and brightness in correlation to what images are shown on screen. so in a dark part to a movie the screen becomes very dim. but is custom mode it is the same as dynamic contrast even though it says it 1:1000. but believe me i spent many hours trying to see the difference in custom and dynamic contrast mode and the difference is zero to none.
yeah but then again that one has 1:10000 Contrast ratio and has 5ms so its not as good as a T220 plus the T220HD costs more so its over all better to get a T220.. And if u realy have to use the T220 as a PS3 screen then just buy a converter cable like a "AVI-HDMI cable" cause this screen is HDCP Enabled (i may be wrong on this) all out awsome screen
this is the samsung touch of color(t) series. they are supposed to look great from reviews i've read. this one is like 22" and goes for a lil over 300. t240 is 24" while t260 is 26". the 26" inch-er supports 1080p hd and is the only one of them that does. i'm getting the t260 to replace my viewsonic value VA1903wb(19"). i don't like mine because i plan to use it as a tv as well and it only has one input, which is sadly vga(no dvi or hdmi, wtf?). i cant wait
I think you said it wrong, 20" and 22" DONT support HD... 1680 x 1080.
Wikipedia: "The term usually assumes a widescreen aspect ratio of 16:9, implying a horizontal resolution of 1920 pixels. This creates a frame resolution of 1920×1080, or 2,073,600 pixels in total."
Dude, you are an idiot. Sorry for saying it but you really are... A SCREEN WITH A RESO OF 1920 X 1200 = FULL HD(1080p). Damn, dont be such a smart ass...
Uhm no, dont tell untill you know for sure. The resolution of the T220 is 1680 x 1080 which is 720p, the T240 has a resolution of 1920 x 1200 which is 1080p(HD).
Hmm, thanks for the info :) But, I don't understand what does the resolution have to do with the fact that either it is or not HD.
Because i've seen a couple of monitors that have 1680 x 1050 resolutions and are HD compatible such as the Samsung Comunnicator 2263UW and, the HP w2207h
i got the T220HD and it is friggin awesome!!!

actually im confused too.buy T220, OR T220 HDTV? the T220 model has a 20000:1 contrast(professional n high end gaming).
and the T220 HDTV has 10000:1 contrast but "HD".
anyways still waiting for the HDTV to be launched. Coz the price will decide too.N these things are limited "the seller told me".
Anyone have any opinion about how good awesome can it be? both can be used for ps3?

Oic..thx alot for the detail..
in the case, i shud check out on the HD difference then..

the hd version can be used with ps3 but the regular cannot. The T220 has VGA and DVI inputs where the T220HD has VGA, DVI, HDMI, and Component.
