Do you guys notice mercedes benz gets less MPG than any other cars with the same engine size? Anyone know why? Compare Mercedes C 350 and Lexus IS 350. Both have similar MPG, of course lexus have a little better MPG, but in term of horsepower. Lexus IS 350 produces 306hp, whereas Mercedes C350 only produces 268hp. That is a huge slack and i think german engine technology is about 5 years behind compare to Japanese counterpart. What do you think?

I test drove a C 200 automatic petrol Elegance the other day on one of my regular visits to Northern Ireland from Dublin. I was extremely impressed with the car. I plan now to probably buy a C 220 CDI Avantgarde.

Stupid idiot...pre-1994 cars were brilliant - you can still see 1970s cars that have done over a million miles still running without any problems. Their only downfall was between 1995 and 2005, but people prefer to remain idiots and judge the first car maker for 1/10th of its life. This has passed through 15 mil miles of hell and torture, and I assure you that this is a completely different story.

Well...they sometimes do. For example, Renault are rated badly, right? However, my 3-year old Renault Clio is excellent and has never given me any problems. Besides, if you look at the reports carefully, you see that they are improving from one year to the next.

I love the look of this new C Class. I definitely want to buy a C 220 CDI. I recently hired a C 200 CDI manual(the older shape). Both my wife and I absolutely loved the car.The car cruised so effortlessly on long distances and it was actually pleasant driving it in very heavy city traffic.The seats are so comfortable, we both remarked how fresh we felt after a 230 mile run. No stiffness.

The main problem was from the boss of Mercedes down. They seem to really making an effort to improve quality now. I really respect the new boss.
