Li Jie - Prelude1007 (Bach)

I can't, for the love of GOD, find the right tabs for this arrangement. It's NOT any of the ones found on classtab.org. The ones I find else where on the web don't have the exact same bass notes (either too many or too few). I've found it once for download at a decent price, but for some reason I am unable to find the site again!!! Could anyone help?

@borowczyk76 Tabs will not help. Puts you at a terrible disadvantage. You need to learn to read music.

This is the version Segovia played. Manuel Ponce added some Bass notes

in the style of Bach to make it more suitable for the guitar. Bach would do this

all the time, change the arrangement to fit a different instrument better, or to make

better use of what qualities a certain instrument had. He took some of the violin

music and wrote it for harpsichord.

@Boldstrummer Well, for the moment tabs WOULD help, but since I was unable to find them, I managed to figure it all out using this video. I heard the Segovia version first but since I couldn't find the exact same arrangements anywhere, I worked with this and it's done a great job, sheet music or no.... although I do plan to learn reading music as well one day.

This is Ponce's version. If you want to view the score, search on Google for 'bwv 1007 ponce' and check out the images uploaded to scribd. The was also a Powertab file created for Segovia's arrangement years ago but that archive is now defunct.

i was wrong when i said she erred at :53 it just sounds a little rough -the low E note accompanying the little A7 notes-- so i apologize to all, especially her. By the way she is practically the onlky one with guts to play this version -and i think actually plays the part before the chromatic climb better than anyone and makes it so clear---compare Segovia at bar39---shes the best

This is the absolutely best version I have heard of bachs prelude 1007. I like the many basnotes added. It's fits the song well when played on the guitar.. I'm quite sure that Bach would have loved it. And he would have loved Li Jie as well.. I'm sure they meet some day- in the heaven of brillant musicians...
