I love The Haunted Mansion very much! (by the way, i'm going to Disneyland on 24 october)... I'm only disappointed in some ways at the Holiday version...

Also im very scared to see ghost boy near the Mansion exit... Im really afraid of this legend.

@ExrisafMC you dont know a legend about a woman, who spreaded ahes of her 7 year old dead son? He loved Haunted Mansion very much and his dream was to be 1000 ghost. He dead from some ill, and this woman did spreas ashes inside HM, without agree of Disney... So there a dead body. Also the legend is... To some fans of The Haunted Mansion appearing a young boy, when the exiting from they Doom Buggies. But nobody really saw him.

Also, some castmembers tells, that Stretch2 has haunted gargolyes...

@11JAMESTOMAS11 No. It is not a roller coaster. It is more like a stretched out "tilt-a-whirl" type of ride. The "doom buggies" are similar to the vehicle that the tilt-a-whirl uses and the track snakes through the attraction building. As for speed? You probably walk faster than it runs. In fact you step on a belt that moves with the buggies before you enter the buggy so you are moving at the same speed since this attraction does not stop except for guest that are handicapped and need help.

@Benstudio13 : your right i appoligize thurl did the voice of the main singing bust. however the ghosts are not painted white they are not painted at all because walt and the other imagineres felt the robotics gave a skeletal sence to them in the reflections. this is even more evident in the cem scene.

as for the voice of the ghost host, his real name is thurl ravencroft and he is best known as the voice of Tony The Tiger from frosted flakes, he is also one of the singing busts in the graveyard ( who are actually called the mellow men).

finally , again about the ballroom scene, all of the ghost there were trapped there by madame loeta because of their parties and music constantly interupting her seances. the girl blowing out the candle is master graceys aunt, Madame boufant, who threw the parties. there are only three ghost that had nothing to do with the parties. the duelests were killed in a duel with each other over "Little Loeta" ( the girl at the end saying hurry back) in a cruel joke.

third, again there are several variations as to who the bride is but the two most popular are that she is the woman in the pictures from the stretching gallery whom Madame Loeta killed on her wedding day and the newest one is that she is a mass murderer whos spirit was trapped by loeta, like the rest of the spirits, and has murdered several of her husbands by decapitaion ( hence the original "Hatbox" ghost)

@themaxster100, and @ sharpproductions - contrary to popular belief that IS NOT the "Ghost host" ( or Master Gracey) Hanging in the stretching gallery. there is no OFFICAL expination as to who it is but according to new additions to the backstory it is possably a messanger that master gracey killed while thinking his soon to be bride was cheating on him on their wedding night.

@madddog652- the ghost in the ballroom are NOT projections! the use what is called a "Peppers Ghost" illusion, simply every ghost you see is a robot (audioanimatronic as their called by disney imaginers) that is either above you or below you, hence the whole balcony aspect and reflected off a large pain of glass.

@Maddog652 WRONG!!! The ghosts in the Haunted Mansion are not projections. It is an effect called Pepper's Ghost. The ghosts are actually reflections of glass.Below you are Audio Animatronics that move around and are painted white. They are also above you too. When you shine light on either the glass or the "ghosts" you will be able to see them, and since it is a reflection you see through them. The trick is also used on Twilight Zone Tower of Terror.
