  • @RB22538 bedankt dich bei you tube, dass die eigentliche Musik gesperrt würde -.- aber das Video ist auch nochmal einzeln auf meinem Kanal

  • best looking diesel locomotive ever built.

  • yes you are right

  • One of my favorite Locomotives. I was born and raised in Dinkelsbuehl, we always took the Triebwagen (Railbus) to Dombuhel to switch over to the Big Diesels to take us to Nuernberg (late 60's/early 70's) and the V200 was usually the Locomotive of choice.

  • awesome video:D

  • 5stars again ,,lol

  • ...die schöne alte V200 - meine Lieblingsdiellok !!!

thanks for this vid ,,great to see a v200 always wanted to see one of these but not had the chance ,,if im right its one of the old english warship types ,,great loco anyhow thanks for showing us this well worth 5 stars

  • Hi, RailFan!

The English Warship locos are only looking similar to the V200, but in fact those two locos are very different and definately not the same loco-type.

The German V200 is not the British Warship-type.

  • thanks for that info ,,a good loco and top railfan vid thanks for sharing with us !! ill 5star it again and add it to my favs ,,joe

  • Welcome! :)

  • HI,

the "Warship" class42,s were based on the V200 design, following an agreement between BR western region and the V200 builders Krauss Maffei...the "Warships" were a scaled down version to fit BR,s smaller loading gauge but somehow they squeezed the same Maybach engines(2) and transmissions into a much tighter space...unmistakeable sound...Maybach music...love it!!!

  • wkd info m8 :) thanks i did hear this before but wasnt certain if it was correct ,,but seems to be true so thanks for clearing that up m8 joe :)

  • No problem mate, nice to know people still have an interest in these locos, shame theres not more of them in preservation, but there you go!!

Hopefully the few surviving "warships" and V200,s will be around for many years to come eh?
