Just seen this and I have to say that really is the best thing to do to early Nike / Bauer low end skates thank god Nike sold Bauer before they ruined them
I play icehockey for 7 years or so. i've played with these for 2 years and theres nothing wrong with them :O. i dont know why they are the worst skates ever designed.
@jthoov If you're just starting out and aren't planning on skating all that often, then that's what their good for - the recreational skater. However, if you're hardcore and an experienced skater these are some of the worst skates in the world for that particular individual.
@JediFarce thanks for the reply!! you really calmed down my worries.
i thought i had just wasted money. well i am a total beginner. i'm not in any hockey leagues or anything and yea.. i'm just learning how to skate. i have my first lesson in a week.
i guess perhaps if i get any better and decide to play hockey in the future.
would you be able to recommend a pair? for around $200 USD.
wow jedi...thats effin awesome! funny, very funny, but awesome. i like the mentality! serves the skate right, just like my own....shitty ass CCM Vector 04 :( im gonna try to get my hands on some classic ol' skool bauer supreme 1000, totally comfy and totally great skate!
If youre a really good skater you can make 360s 7200s even 900 or any trick u want with the worst skate desiign,the important thing is the sharpening hollow,the ankle support doesnt really matters,i have 20 years skating and i was used a bauer compossite for 16 years without no ankle support and now i use bauer one 75 and its good but the pont is:" the skate dont make the skater even graf or bauer or ccm,tuuk,pro-lite or t-blades ,the skater make the skates!!
Yes, a "really good" skater such as Skye, Mark, Shanel, JJ can make it work with even with the worst designed skate imaginable. Point is, why would you want to. While the hollow is important, ankle support is equally vital. Sending me those video responses to this video doesn't really make your case. I video some of the best freestyle skaters in the world and every one of them depend on good ankle support from their skates.

@ktnega
You guys still skating? Haven't seen you guys come down in a while unless you're ripping it up on the weekends.

ankle support is a vital thing in freestyle or extreme iceskating... but i believe supreme 30 is for beginner skaters that doesn't a stiff boot...

@ivandanu
The boot is stiff, but anatomically its all F-'d up.
