  • Poor cows. i'd shit just about shit myself any time those things were near

  • the cattle are only curius but if they had young calfs you would have a dead dog

  • great dog.he is there to control them or else lol

  • awesome! once i saw this i realized why the rott acts the way it does! thanks for posting

  • that dog is beast other hearding dogs just back off when the cow comes closer but not rotts they will fuck up that cow if doesnt listen to it XD

  • @ryan215553 Not Austrailian Cattle dogs. Which are insane.

  • NICE to see the rotti are still up to their traditional work! They are great pets but love to work! I bet they are very happy.

  • Its nice to see a competant dog at work!

  • People who have commented on the Rottweilers origin on here generally seem to know SFA......

  • Cows can run???? O__O

  • lol cattle aren't scared of a collie, but you put a rottweiler in there haha they will be

  • there FEARFUL ..brave dogs ..how many cows to that dog ..brava

  • The Rottweiler is more adriving Dog then a Herding Dog, it was the Butchers and Livestockdealers Doc, not a Dog of the Cattleherders.

  • IT DOESN'T MATTER! whats German or American frig... lol its a Rottweiler still, and this one is doing a good job at what they were bred to do great Vid.

  • My 2 Rotties are 100% German and are 130lbs each and not one ounce of fat on either. They do herding like that here and there and they are not afraid. The way I raised them niether of them are afraid of any animal. They have scared away mountains due to thier protection of me. Rotties are very gentle family oriented dogs, but they are not to messed with if they don't know you.

  • if you knew anything about rottweilers, you'd know that the only german rott is one from germany. There is no American Rott or German Rott. Also, 130 lbs is an oversized rott, whether they are fat or just muscular. Some breeder jipped you.

  • yeah I can't understand why cattle are scared of border collies they're so unmuscled

  • @LionGoddess1 It's because a cow is a prey animal and a dog is a predator. They have a natural fear of predators, that how they survived.

  • (COW) = whos this another little border collie wait wtf runnnn thats a big mofo!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • cool!

  • Conider, your comment that rotties should not exceed 110 lbs is obsurd. It depends if they are a german roti or american rotti. to my knowledge, an american should not exceed 110lbs, and a german, which i have, can get up to 160 lbs (mine is 150 and in good overall shape

  • there is not such thing as a german or american rottweiler, there is only the Rottweiler as said be AKC

  • @starlaylla actually there is,the name may have started in Germany but owing to the importing of dogs there are now official breeding lines in the UK and the US. Besides only the name Rottweiler came from Germany the dog dates back long before to 'Molossus' dogs used by the Romans. The appearance of the Rottweiler is fair to say has most likely changed since then.

  • I love this!

  • my rottie is 50-60 kg heavy and hes bigg i have been thinking if hes not full rottie, but he is cus hes dad is a rottie and hes mother too, but i dont know why he grew so damn big :D

  • Rottweilers should never exceed 110 pounds, EVER.

  • ye the vet told us that too, but th vet got also suprised, cus my rottie is not fat or anything, he just grew abit bigger than normaly rotties,

  • @ConiferTreez You don't know what you're talking about

  • my rott really is just 22 kg but a bull 2000 pounds is way too big for any dog. Better buy a polar bear to do the hearding.

  • polar bear? Lol is enough with a Leopard.

  • lol and yet, ive seen cattle dogs and kelpies take them on, no probs lol, do love your idea though lol

  • my rottie is also huge. about 250000 tns dead weight. Recently we took him to the dock yard to chance some 30000 tns of steel on the port side because as he was running he crashed with another dog. Good thing he had the life saving equipment ready.,,,

  • man he int making no sport wid dem! love me a rotti

  • my rotti also likes to be with the cattle ... but my dad got a new bull that its quite aggressive and its huge over 2000 pounds and it wont go back when dogs bark at him.... so i dont let my rotti go with the cow anymore...

can you like... train your cows or something?

  • lol tha bull dont take no shit from no dog lol

  • nor people.... he likes to chase people too O.o da bitch is crazy

  • haha

    fuck tha :P

  • GREAT VIDEO!!!

It's always great to see the Rotties in their true environment.

  • WOW!! Yes Rotwelliers are a very strong and intelligent breed and are very capable of herding for sure!!!I found it funny as an american!!!

  • what the fuck do you mean "capable"?

It's what they were bred for you fucking idiot

  • I forgot. You are perfect and always correct. ... i laughed at you when i saw you making fun of the wrong guy. because the ones who project how right they are ... are wrong. THat is why I tell people I am not smart. Conifer. I am not smart.

  • my rottweiler is good at herding...our neighbors have a sheep, my mom hates it eating up our plants, i was to scared to chase it away cuz last time it kicked its legs around in the dirt...so i tried getting my rottweiler to do it, she's really good at it.

  • yikes...but they are good for cows:)since cows are pretty big

  • Didnt the Germans use Rotties for hearding years ago? I have heard they make excellent herding dogs. He looked like he was enjoying his job. How cute! Rottie are so awesome!

  • sorry that wasnt a dog hearding lol was just protecting its space!!!

but they make fantastic heard dogs i have friends who use them on their dairy cows.

  • That Rott ain't takin' no sh1t from those cows!! :D

  • My rott Tyson was herding Highland cattle when I took him to the farm. It's amazing to watch.

  • It's good to see someone using rottweilers for their original purpose. We've used rottweilers on our farm for years, and have never been disappointed. They're amazing working dogs, and yours is no exception.

  • Meh.

  • Good boy.he's looks like a bully but he's a tough guy and that his way cattle herding

  • MR4YOU that not true i own 2 rotteis wel my mom doas and i love them there very smart and loveing

  • I like this video! :D

  • Excellent stuff. I own two Rotts myself but never had the opportunity to see them in action like this.

    Cheers!

  • GOD Bless you.

  • This dog is fearless.

The cattle try to intimidate him but he lunges toward them with extreme confidence. Powerful energy projects from this dog. This is a trait that a well bred rottweiler must have.

  • Rottweilers are good herding dogs. In this video the dog didn't do anything horrible. As you could see, at no point did it bite the cows.

  • cool ive never seen a rott working as a shepard

  • I APOLIGIZE for saying these things,God bless you.PLEASE forgive me for my stupidity.

  • I dont know...its hard forgive cause your really are very stupid. merry xmas anyways!=)

  • i hope a nice big rottweiler bites you in the head =)

  • i hope a rotwieler bites ur mum in the head you twat

  • why?

  • Rotts were bred to heard livestock in the German town of Rotweil. That IS what a Rott does! They were originally German cattle herding dogs!

People who make blanket generalizations tend to be dumb.

  • wow! you are not showing yourself to be a smart human, there Mr4you! Rottweilers are extremely intelligent. no bias, no bullshit, no nothing - they are very smart animals!

thug? what the fuck do you know about thugs?

they were the German equiv. of a austrialian cattle dog. Germans just used a bigger dog to get the job done.

    dick...

  • wow, what a shithead comment...

I see alot of dumb comments on YT these days...

  • When he went for the brown cow near the end he sounded kickass

  • MR4YOU that not true i own 2 rotteis wel my mom doas and i love them there very smart and loveing

  • Sorry kid .Rottwielers are cool.

  • Are you blind as a bat? That dog can move them, do you not see that they do move...the dog just hasn't been TRAINED to move them. And what the heck do real farm dogs do when the cows dont move for them and stare them down. Do they not attack? because last time I checked they do bite. And if that rottweiler was "attacking them." That attack you see is telling the cattle to listen to him whether they like it or not. And its not really attacking its just a bark with a threat.

  • awsome dog looksand sounds like mine but yours has a lot more power by the looks of this nice 1 how old is he?

  • ...? He is not movin' 'em... ¿?

  • no the fuck he isnt mikedogz u assdick u rotten excuse for a dick.

  • That's cool but can he drive them?

  • yes, they were used in Germany to drive the cattle to market. trains made their job disappear, so they became protectors and family members.

  • Great vid of a super rottie! Awesome seeing them do wat they are bred for :)
