Well it's kinda weird, I eat and write with my left and do pretty much everything else with my right. I started playing drums on a righty kit but playing open handed. I eventually switched over to playing righty, but I can do both.

Your use of the snare drum for a lot of those fills sounds great. I'm going to try and incorporate more of that into my playing, kind of get back to the basics of a good fill, y'know? Too many people rely on fancy tom run thrus instead of classy technical snare parts. Reminds me of when I was in band, and you'd see written out fills in the music.

Yeahh, I know exactly what you mean. A lot of people base their opinion on whether a drummer is good or not on their use of those fancy tom fills, but I find great drummers are the ones who can groove and not overplay. At the same time, some of those kinds of fills can be great, but only when appropriate. Thanks for the comment!

Definitely! I've been working for the past few months on really simplifying my playing overall, to get more of that feel out of it, while still keeping the kick at a fairly advanced level (which usually doesn't interfere with the song the way over-filling it does). Again, good job here. The mark of a good studio drummer is one who can play very simply, but add touches of class where needed. Those all out fills do have their place. :)
