NEVER let a dentist use formaldehyde in a root canal. Sargenti Paste contains the highly toxic formaldehyde, lead and mercury. Dentists who use it know they shouldn't and conceal it, sometimes even after the patient is injured. It was REJECTED for approval by the FDA, below the standard of care. The injection doesn't hurt that bad, why don't female dentists pull their hair back like my dentist does? I see lots of vids on youtube with female dentists and their hair is hanging down over the patient.

the injection hurts actually. the root canal is fine. if the root canal hurts, then you need more anesthesia.

@caliburn0911 i dont like needles, but the topical anesthesia helps numb the gums when they plunge the injection. They injected me 4 or 5 times i think. But its only the 1st and 2nd that you will really feel. After that, you wont feel anything else. Good luck.

@caliburn0911 u will only feel the first 2 injections. and it wont really be that bad. u'll just feel a bit of pressure. then after that, there should be no more pain.

@number25king25 the sensitivity could be because of the recent filling. No need to panic and get a root canal. Trust me, when u need a root canal, you will know it. The pain of a dead tooth is AWFUL.

Root Canal Treatment is pretty much Pain free. Just make sure they use a rubber Damn (the green rubber sheet) if not, insist! It is important and stops small instruments, debris and harmful substances such as Hyperchlorite from entering your mouth and throat! Some dentists say that they dont need it. They DO!

gah i got to go get a rootcanal did very soon and it really sucks because the Green Tarp I Hate it When They Put it On I can not swallow at all! It feels like a string down my throat! Does anyone know how long it takes for a root canal? Because im pretty freaked about it.

No, that is the beauty of being numb. You will experience soreness that will last for two days after, but all in all it's not bad at all.

Mine hurt like a bitch! Anesthetic kept wearing off very quickly so I felt that damned drill. Every few minutes I had that huge needle inserted into my gum. Bastards watching tv and laughing too. Eh, it wasn't all that bad lol.
