Dudette.. Terrible choice in music. Even if you throw a violin Numb will always be.. A shitty song to dance to. [it's a shitty song to rock to, so.. you get my drift.]
It is so boring! her technique is ok, though I am sure she made a progress. But dance without emotion and feeling of music is not dance, just a set of exercises.
great job!!!!!!! one more thing once you finish jumping land toe-ball-(of your foot)-heal it will help you on your next movements in the dance and other than that it is beautiful !!!!!!!!!
the emotion doesn't really match the dance. you're obviously very talented though! and its really weird but you look very strangely like me. we could be related...
When you did your ponche (at 0.28) and your turns watch your sway backs can damage the knees. perform!!! stop watching yourself! Work on your elevation in your leaps. Connect your movement and feel the music more… make it like a story - it has to be believable!
You need to stop looking in the mirror so much. 0.34 would have been a beautiful moment if you would have looked towards your hand. If you stopped letting you head face the mirror, you could add alot more emotion
our studio is all wood and the front of our stage is a wood platform with a hollow space beneath it....and we land on it just fine. it's a matter of rolling through your feet.
@ducklett1404 They're called Adage the Turner, however I only had one and had to borrow a Capezio Pirouette from our lost and found...it was too small hahahaha
@HaileyNumber1 Not to be rude, but do you see the shape of that room? It's incredible shallow. You can't coreograph forward and backward motions and still get caught on camera in a space like that, you'd only see my face if I did.
@HaileyNumber1 Those were some of the lightest landings ever, so what are you on about haha? I'm guessing you've never actually heard dancers on a stage, only from the audience, because shows' music blocks out a lot of basically elephant stamping from even the best of performers!
@HaileyNumber1 it clearly states that it was all improv. i think she was worried about what it looked like, more that just letting her emotions run out through her dance... i felt that she did a wonderful job.
U got skillz .havnt really watched dis style of dancing much.but what i just saw i liked :).i subscribed to youre channel .subscribe to my channel and check out my vids to k
I normally don't like improv because it always feels so empty and "thrown together". Like, it doesn't seem fluid or something to me. I don't know. But, I really liked this. It felt like an actual choreographed piece. So, nice work. heheh. I hope it got you in to WSU! :)
Even if u dont or do take corrections i dont feel what ur dancing im trying to see different styles of dance and this was the wrong video to look at sorry .. but great technique!!
too concentrated. you're talented, you don't need to practice your moves anymore. you need practice on your.. uuuuuhm.. you know, expression while dancing..
Technique is all there and you have a good dancers body eg: good back, flexable, nice feet a so on, but when you dance its emotionless!! you dont feel it, so neither can an audience. if you work on emotion an performance you will be insane !!!!
Omg, me and my friend decided to make up a dance to this song and some of the moves we put in it were the same as yours, yay by the way, you're really, really good!
You dance nicely but the choreography just didn't seem to blend with the music. It was like you weren't dancing to this song. Wasn't feeling the connection between dance and music here...
@Hisgirlforever12 Not true by any means at the studio I work at, we have a "sprung" floor. pretty much just a hollow floor. you can hear so much as someone walking but if you roll through your feet and use your plie' there should be very minnimal noise if any at all. dancers are suppose to be light as a feather. no one wants to hear feet crashing to the ground. shes a tiny girl but she sound like a buffalo.
nice (: your technique is good but the only thing i would work on a little is textures in the movements. but well done and you do some really beautiful things with your lines!
i'm not sure, but the studio seems a bit small. i guess that's why you're moves are a lil reserve at times? but great job! I was thinking of doing a lyrical piece to this song too.. but I haven't decided! Thanks for the insight tho! =)
your very good. you have great technique and you can tell you have a passion for dance. my only sugestion is when you do any jumps land lighter on your front foot because i also have this problem but overall very very beautiful.
That was a good piece, you have really nice technique and the choreography was good too. The only thing I noticed was that you seemed a bit robotic at times, relax a little and let the movements flow naturally. It was still a beautiful piece, keep dancing :)
the tightness of your shoes have nothing to do with how you land.......

Just add a little emotion to your face and bring the emotion of the song into your dance, and this dance would be perfect.
