With all due respect - I do not know where you get your statistics. Under the spousal abuse laws in British Columbia Canada we have a zero tolerance policy. In BC it is the discretion of the police to arrest whom they choose in a domestic matter - regardless of gender. Many many women have been and are continuing to be arrested under this law.
