I compare this concept to the Evil Inclination, which, is nothing more than another aspect of Hashem. Thy rod and thy staff...Torah at the root, but breaking it down, if Hashem is to lead us on the path intended for us, He guides with Torah...which includes all include our perceived notions of good and evil. They are One.Yes?
The mixed multitude, the "erev rav", to my knowledge, is never presented in a positive manner, but as something that attached itself to the Hebrew people in order to lead them astray. You seem to think it was a good thing...is there a source for that?
