The window does not slide up. The window slides to the RIGHT. This way, the entrance of the hole is blocked from the camera and spectator view. The window slides to the LEFT to hide the hole again. That is why Blaine keeps the spectators to the right. The "creepy guy" does not steal the watch. He's there to distract the spectators from the fact that the first trick was done to steal the watch. The watch is handed off during the first and only camera cut.
As soon as david places the newspaper on the window, the creepy guy, still inside the store, slides the "rigged" window up, revealing a whole that we cant see because of the newspaper, sticks his hand through the hole conceled by the paper. notice as soon as he pulls his hands out, he steps infront of where he stuck his hand through for a sec, to give the window a sec to return to its original position, where the hole is again concealed by the frame of the window.
I know exactly how this trick is done. he picks the watch doing the stupid card thing. The creepy guys probably owns the jewelery store, circled through the ally, went inside the back, and placed the watch. As far as the hand through the window, its based on a stupid little trick you can buy at any magic shop for a few bucks where you stick a pensil through a piece of glass

You can see him palming it every once in a while from then on if you watch closely. Then when he sticks his hand through the hole, he grabs the watch in the window, swaps it with the palmed watch, then he is showing them the newspaper, he palms the window watch in his right hand.

My 2c. The window setting is fake, Someone is lying down, under the watches. The farthest watch display is closer to the window, and it's height is the same as Blaine's "entry". I think the display is rigid, and made to look like cloth- allowing an arm to pop out grab a watch that looks the same as the lady's - which Blaine had all along, The paper and Blaine's body are used to cover up the accomplice. Note the arm/hand angles between 2:11-2:17.

Oh by the way camera change at 0:40 sec, and the guy in the blue shirt is in a different position, so it wasn't a simple camera change, the stopped the camera prior to the change, put the watch in the store window, then resumed shooting at 40 sec. @TheJelly1990 You can clearly tell that after the camera change at 41 sec, the man with the blue shirt has his hands down; prior to this his hand was above his head. From 40 sec to 42 sec you can see this unnatural change. Also from 7 sec to 10 sec while the blue shirt guy was covering the line of sight , someone else could have taken off the watch. And for the glass panel, the panel slides. The newspaper covers this; plus since glass is transparent, you can't tell if it's moving.
its a hidden sliding window. he slides it open discretely when he first puts the newspaper to the glass. Once he pulls his hand out at 2:13, you can see he quickly covers up the far side of the window with his left arm and shoulder. as he pushes his shoulder to the glass he is discretely closing the window again.

Yeah, David Blaine is a classic street magician. Criss Angel might me more "magicy", but all Criss Angel does is cut himself open and other people, and the second thing he usualy does is just levitate. Its harder to figure out what David Blaine does

Blaine looks back at about 0:19 (fake look at the camera), which cues someone to run behind Blaine. Blaine then hands the watch to the runner, and the runner places the watch in the store. But, in order to distract the volunteers from seeing the runner, a "weird guy' walks towards Blaine (0:31) from the other direction and says something random. The people look at him, and the runner can then safely place the watch in the store without being seen.
That is pretty much it. A small square in the window can be slid to reveal a hole big enough for his hand. Cris Angel does a similar trick except he climbs through the window.
It's obviously fake; I know that. And I've seen that movie. The Prestige is also excellent. But that's beside the point. I was simply trying to observe the situation. I'm sorry if I somehow offended anyone.
Ahhh I think I got the trick, the guy that passed behind them is the owner of the jewelry store. An identical watch was placed on the window glass and then he placed like a thin plastic material on the window that opens and closes. The place, the people and the time was already premeditated by Blaine.

If you notice carefully, when David Blaine places the newspaper on the window, the hand you see is not David's but its the person INSIDE the store! David just times it to make it look as if it were the watch and his hand. SOLVED!
The guy in the blue is in on the joke. David Blaine removes the watch, gives it to the guy in the blue, who in turn gives it to the "random" guy passing by. The "random" guy then enters the store and places the watch on the window sill.
It's not so smart of the guy to check the glass in an area where David Blaine didn't grab through the glass.... omfg

No he was under water in 7 days and after that he tryes to beat the world record there is about 9 min. but he only did do it in 7:56.

the whole trick is in what the woman says.. "can we knock it over?" when they arrive at "the jewelry store" the store isn't a store, it's just a SET. like a little wall no bigger then a closet. infront of a real store. why don't you think you can't see into the store.. it's just a sign. a Cheap sign.. and the glass is fake.

My 2c. The window setting is fake, Someone is lying down, under the watches. The farthest watch display is closer to the window, and it's height is the same as Blaine's "entry". I think the display is rigid, and made to look like cloth- allowing an arm to pop out grab a watch that looks the same as the lady's - which Blaine had all along, The paper and Blaine's body are used to cover up the accomplice. Note the arm/hand angles between 2:11-2:17.

It's so ironic that David Blaine says "That's a weird guy," at 0:34. Oh by the way camera change at 0:40 sec, and the guy in the blue shirt is in a different position, so it wasn't a simple camera change, the stopped the camera prior to the change, put the watch in the store window, then resumed shooting at 40 sec. I'm sorry if I've ruined this for anyone, but please don't believe this stuff is real. Thank you.

@TheJelly1990 You can clearly tell that after the camera change at 41 sec, the man with the blue shirt has his hands down; prior to this his hand was above his head. From 40 sec to 42 sec you can see this unnatural change. Also from 7 sec to 10 sec while the blue shirt guy was covering the line of sight , someone else could have taken off the watch. And for the glass panel, the panel slides. The newspaper covers this; plus since glass is transparent, you can't tell if it's moving.

its a hidden sliding window. he slides it open discretely when he first puts the newspaper to the glass. Once he pulls his hand out at 2:13, you can see he quickly covers up the far side of the window with his left arm and shoulder. as he pushes his shoulder to the glass he is discretely closing the window again.

hahahaha, it wasnt he's hand who pulls the watch, its somebody's hidden somewhere in the corner inside the store, as you noticed, blaine has long sleeves where he happened to hide the real watch. he didnt put his hand thru the window instead bent it inside to hide it using the sleeves and his left holding the newspaper and the tip of the sleeve.

Yeah, David Blaine is a classic street magician. Criss Angel might me more "magicy", but all Criss Angel does is cut himself open and other people, and the second thing he usualy does is just levitate. Its harder to figure out what David Blaine does

Blaine looks back at about 0:19 (fake look at the camera), which cues someone to run behind Blaine. Blaine then hands the watch to the runner, and the runner places the watch in the store. But, in order to distract the volunteers from seeing the runner, a "weird guy' walks towards Blaine (0:31) from the other direction and says something random. The people look at him, and the runner can then safely place the watch in the store without being seen.
As for the rest... maybe a sliding window?

That is pretty much it. A small square in the window can be slid to reveal a hole big enough for his hand. Cris Angel does a similar trick except he climbs through the window.

Ahhh I think I got the trick, the guy that passed behind them is the owner of the jewelry store. An identical watch was placed on the window glass and then he placed like a thin plastic material on the window that opens and closes. The place, the people and the time was already premeditated by Blaine.

that makes sense. that explains why he put the newspaper in front of the window, so that you wouldn't see the plastic (or whatever it was) open when he pushed his hand through. but then again, the other guy did knock the glass at the end and it was perfectly solid. any ideas for that?

If you notice carefully, when David Blaine places the newspaper on the window, the hand you see is not David's but its the person INSIDE the store! David just times it to make it look as if it were the watch and his hand. SOLVED!

This trick is easy IF you catch it:
The guy in the blue is in on the joke. David Blaine removes the watch, gives it to the guy in the blue, who in turn gives it to the "random" guy passing by. The "random" guy then enters the store and places the watch on the window sill.
