  • God!!! I finally found the name and intro of this show, been looking for this forever!!!

RIP BRIAN KEITH

  • @andreavenew è scomparso nel 1997

  • The Coyote: a Ferrari rev counter in a McLaren replica - genius! First time I've noticed that...! Loved the theme song & series :-)

  • Brian Keith, miss that mofo.

  • This show had all the elements of the other shows of the time. It just did'nt stand out. Actually it was boring when you think about it. It was no Magnum for sure.

  • THAT SONG FUCKING KILLS!!!!

  • This was a great show. I thought the car was awesome too, but when I just saw it again for the first time in who knows how long it made me laugh. Ahh, the 80's.

  • This F*** song has been stuck in my head incompletly for 20 years. Thank god for this.

  • David Davenport is the guitar player on this song.I took a few guitar lessons from David in the early 90s .R.I.P.David

  • 17 people were put away by Judge Milton Hardcastle.

  • In a parallel universe this could have starred Brian Dennehy and David Hasselhoff.

  • DRIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DRIVIN' LIKE THE DEMON WHO DRIVES YOUR DREAMS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lol...I loved hearing this theme when I was a kid. Theme songs like this are a thing of the past. TV now sucks donkey balls.

  • I miss these old goofy PI shows. Now it's all "serious" cop procedurals with cardboard, interchangable characters.

  • Most badass car ever!

  • What kind of car was that, a Lancia Stratos?? My friend in college had a kit car like this sitting on a VW bug chassis!!! It always turns heads and its 12-15 yrs old!!

  • Fuckin hot shit!!!!!! When r they gonna release this show on DVD????

  • @ilovethejoy The entire series has been released on DVD. They only came out to stores in Canada- but they will work on DVD players in the United States. So Americans can buy them as well- but it would have to be done online. I have all three seasons and have seen every single episode as a result. I read on a website that all episodes have been released as a complete series package. If you live in either the United States or Canada- you are in luck and can have the whole series in your home.

  • Steve Martin with some extra pounds and Dane Cook with a curly wig. If that big-screen adaptation happens, I want a fee.

  • Fantastic

  • @adrianqx, just checked but it was Hardcastle (Brian Keith) who took his own life! Real sad, but still got fond memories of watching this show as a kid on Sunday evenings after my bath! haha (in the UK!)

  • best theme music ever, great 80s memories. to bad mcComick committed suicide

  • best theme music ever, great 80s memories. to bad mcComick committed suicide

  • Why don´t they show that in TV again ?

  • huh? the Judge and the driver? what a sucky name the French speakers got!

  • I keep playing this song over and over.

  • What a great show!!!!!

  • Look at all the white people!! Dat be rayciss!!

  • @RagnarOdinsson what? the police are finally after a white guy - thought you'd be happy! :)

  • I LOVE THIS INTRO !!!

  • Wait... he has the Knight Rider's hair but it's not Hasselhoff... :(

  • I loved that car! Especially when he drove it under the 18 wheeler, awesome!

  • Brings back the good ol' days where stunts were real stunts, not some CGI shit

  • i was born in the eightys so this show

brings back memories when tv was cool

  • This is meant to symbolize a cool car = justice will be served.

  • If you wanted to fight crime in the 80's you had to have a totally rad car.

  • PUSH IT TO THE FLOOR, TILL THE ENGINE SCREAMS!!

    Ultimate racing song

  • any full eps of Hardcastle & McCormick?

  • I'm watching this when i was a kid.I'm only wondering, does Coyote X mass produced in d market like 1982 Pontiac Firebird(a.k.a. KITT) in d '80s?Or just an exclusive prototype car for d series? :-/

  • I always wanted 2 have a COYOTE X toycar when I was a kid.The COYOTE X toycar of Tonka. :-)

  • I REMEMBER WATCHING THIS WHEN I WAS A KID W/ MY DAD.& NICE DIGITALLY-MASTERED AUDIO TOO. ;-)

  • Hollywood is running out of ideas to making movies.and making remakes of tv episodes and old movies are thier specialty.why not remake this tv show and make it a movie on the big screen?

  • --Not a bad show,

    Mclaren m6 gt = yes.

  • Tuco guest stars in this episode!!!

  • My God man,its got to be in the top three of the best tv series intros of all time, beautiful :)

  • Doesn't White Collar series remind you of this series..alittle bit? And that show Leverage reminds me of The A-Team.

  • Mike Post and Pete Carpenter are to 80's tv theme songs like Ronnie James Dio and James Hetfield are to Heavy metal. Without them,we'd still have the show, but not the enjoyment.

  • This show kicks so much ass it should have feet.

  • HA HA! Not the first time Daniel Hugh-Kelly's had a brush with a nasy dog, he was also in "CUJO" !

  • @mistofoles very well spotted!

  • yes, it´s one of the best intro music i have heard...

  • God I miss it when tv shows had great theme songs.Back when you cared about watching the intro just as much as you did the show! But now you're lucky if you get a ten second intro for a show. Now a days stations don't want to waste a second that they could fill with a stupid commercial!

  • I miss shows with opening credits.

  • The song helps this show and the car is the actual star.

  • soo true ,,,classic gammer..

  • Hell, what didn't Mike Post score.

    Great theme.

  • One of the best opening themes ever.

  • Love it.

    George Vreeland Hill

  • Mike post and Pete Carpenter were the best theme guys in the 80's, one can only hope for such good TV nowadays.

  • Mkay i dont wanna upset any CSI Fans out there but id rather watch a season of shows like This than an episode of half the shows on Tv Today, Cant remember the last Modern Cop show i liked they just arent entertaining

sitting around with my family watching this, Hart To Hart Vegas with Robert Ulrich or the Invaders with a glass of milk a slice of cake and a warm fire roaring

  • Really, I watched this show because of the car. Liked the show, but that car was awesome to me!

  • FUN SHOW 2 WATCH; THE THEME SONG SUCKED ASS THOUGH.

  • the down fall of shows like these and a hell of a lot of things falls down to a group I like to call busy body Soccer Moms and Pinko Fags with nothing better to do then stick there nose where is doesn't belong Like Tv and Fast food but hey maybe they will be happy when everything we eat is Tofu and All Tv shows star mega Bitches like Joy Bayheart and Sarah Suck My Cock Palin

  • What is a Coyote X and why does it have a Ferrari gate for the gear lever and a Prancing horse on the dials?

  • @SKYKOP74 The Coyote X was a concept car for the show. They were based on the European Manta Montage or Mclaren (I think). The Coyote X never saw production in real life. Obviously the interior shots of the car showing the gate gear lever and the prancing horse dials were shot inside a Ferrari.

  • @SKYKOP74 google it they made it for tv lol you'll love what they did for season two

  • Love this show it rocked. Loved the car too

  • no more good shows like the old days we have Mam be pamby actors and writers .All the old shows Had Heros now even look at walker he is gone too we dont want to step on toes .But all the 60 70 80 are all good looking heros with all had ACTION

  • Another great theme song. Whatever happened to TV anyway? Now its all reality crap and lame sitcoms and talk shows.

  • @paktype hey dude tired of reality crap? Watch HBO, FX and SHOWTIME. They have quality shows. Or MOST IMPORTANTLY, BUY DVDs of old shows. Do ya agree, paktype?

  • Too bad theme songs are now 2 seconds long so they can cram more stupid commercials into the show.

  • @1958Antimatter well Criminal Minds has an intro while FX, HBO, etc. still have credits. 1958Antimatter don't blame commercials, you weirdo.

  • @kimv020887 Let me see........go fuck yourself.

  • @1958Antimatter BTW if you hate the crap that's on TV nowadays, go buy some DVDs of shows like Miami Vice, A-Team, etc. and avoid DWTS and AI.

  • fab intro boring show.

  • I always thought Daniel Hugh-Kelly had that David Hasselhoff haircut going for him. When growing up back then, i mistaked him alot of times for Michael Knight from Knight Rider. lol He had that look about him, like " The Hoff " did. The Coyote was another bad ass 80's star car back then. So many good shows back then, Hunter, Night Court, Mama's Family, etc... Hollywood, what the ?$?$, can't you put out anything good on TV now days?? ....'cuz all i see is junk lately on my TV screen. :(

  • @001GenLee Hawaii Five 0 has just been revived by CBS. HBO also has quality shows.

  • after very little research I found out the really cool car is in fact Not a 1970'S Ford Gt 40 but it is in Fact a car they made just for the show on a Vw frame lol they also made one for season two or three made out of a less nice looking car I didn't believe it nether but Google it the Coyote car

  • someone had a mcclearen several years ago few hundred miles from where i live.If i had the cash i would have bought it.

  • Best part's when he drives under the big rig. Awesome show. Love the 80's !!!!

  • jesus christ! totally forgot about this show. it was my favorite. i got so many tickets because of it.

  • @GrowABrainstem: Well check out Burn Notice, it's not crap, GrowABrainstem.

  • @kimv020887 burn notice? you're fucking stupid. that fucking blows more cock than the cunt that's in it.

  • @thedriver: According to YOU, yes....but it's a great spy show and a great action show with a hero that THINKS his way out of most situations, unlike Cannell's shows which feature more shoot-outs and car chases than truly exist in real life.

  • @Neville6000 please stop. that show sucks plainly. it's a "flash" show. the writing sucks, the actors are terrible, and acting to boot. it's one of those pretty shows. makes people think they're cool because they're watching it.

  • @thedriver: Obviously, you've never seen it, and you just want to be taking the piss out of it to sound 'cool' and 'retro'. Car chases and catchy songs aren't all there is to a show; GOOD WRITING and great scripts make it as well. Looks like too much '80's action TV has corrupted your mind like everybody else here at YouTube.

  • @whiskeyify watch shows on FX.

  • @rtds9fan me too. NCIS Los Angeles also has action.

  • @Joelomite: FX and Showtime had intros too.

  • @LcplHabon agreed. But Burn Notice is a good show these days. Check it out.

  • @Trollercauster they still do.

  • @domirules28 NCIS Los Angeles is a crime drama not a dna lab.

  • @tomcatfranks: indeed but check out Justified.

  • I know its dubbed in, but the engine revving as the coyote pulls underneath the truck just gets the blood flowing, you know man?

  • this was what crime dramas are all about? not this forensic dna lab bs they have now....shows like this, the rockford files, chips, hunter, the a team, riptide, and wiseguy need make a comeback...

  • It was the best of times growing up in the early '80's.

Great tv, great music, and great video games.

Food and toys weren't toxic, you could find a job, and people were nicer.

    It's like everything sucks today!

  • haha! i like the part "you could find a job" :). Let's go back to the 80s when the economy was booming!!

  • @classicgamer1968 You my friend,are a poet.

  • @classicgamer1968 Dunno where you grew up, but where I came from people were just as prone to being a-holes as they are today.

But I'm with you on the great TV and games from the era.

  • Hello everybody ! I'm 36 now and I miss the eighties so much as I'm getting older. Classicgamer 1968 is completely right !!! We've lost our innocence I guess, unfortunately becoming I-Phone geeks. Hardcastle & Mccormick ( Le Juge et le Pilote in french ;-) ) was pure entertainment just like The Unknown Stuntman, Magnum P.I. ( my fav' ! ), Knight Rider ( 2nd fav' ), Airwolf, Hunter, Miami Vice and for those who remembers Riptide... Don't know U mates but we share the same spirit ! Au revoir ;-)

  • @antonhighnormandy Me 2! :-)

  • @antonhighnormandy damn dude....I just got a childhood flashback from reading all those old shows I loved as a kid! Totally awesome, dude!

  • @classicgamer1968 Couldn't have put it better myself

  • @classicgamer1968 I agree w/ u.But speaking of action sports cars primetime,I like watching "VIPER" in 1994. ;-)

  • @classicgamer1968 Everything sucks now because people allowed it to suck. The corporations and the corporatist government control everything and without enough common citizens to drive things in the right direction everything will naturally slip to the sucky side.

  • @lsl70 Exactly!

  • @classicgamer1968 and.......people on tv actually had talent

  • @carroll1956 Talent and self-respect and the writers were among the most creative too. In modern times, many of the writers just want to ride on the tailcoats of the ideas and success from the past and remake the classics but it NEVER works well - you can't top an original!

Atleast if we could get more tv stations that bring us solely hits from the 60's, 70's, and 80's then tv would be worth watching again.

  • @classicgamer1968 Exactly. Everything modern makes me depressed. The only asset in today's world is technology.

  • @classicgamer1968 Big ol' "Ditto," brother!

  • @classicgamer1968 so true, so sad

  • @classicgamer1968 i agree with u on this

  • Thanks for the info rottney2! I think it was called 'Coyote X' on the license plate because on the show it was supposed to be mass produced but the builder got killed and his daughter was a friend of McCormick's, who gave him the car cause he helped solve her fathers murder, he named it, 'Coyotoe X' because it was an Experimental model never before seen or made...a prototype. I read once it was actually an McLaren GT or modelled after it? Let me know if this is correct.

  • @Fastback11 You know more about the show than me! LOL. And you nailed it, my friend designed the front end after the McLaren, but the 3 Cody Coyotes were built to

his specs, and not a redesigned McLaren. My friend also designed the LA set and police cars for Bladerunner.

  • what car model is the coyote? look very nice!!!

  • @EddyFleischmann: One made up by the show's designers.

  • Epic is all i have to say! these shows inspired and taught(even if not a lot!)

Todays series are complete waste of time!

  • RIP Mr. Cannell

  • that coyote car l@@ks like the perfect hot wheels car from the 80's. Barely saw an episode of this show, but I like the theme song and it seems better than the fall guy for some reason, prab cause it has a hott car, but fall guy had heatha T.!!!

  • My friend was the designer for the show, and BTW it was the Cody Coyote, not the Coyote X. They built 3 cars to my friend's drawings....one for speed and handling, one very detailed for close-up shots, and one with beefy suspension for the jumps. I got to see every step of the design, as my friend would show me his drawings as he went, Very cool. I was then allowed on the set to watch them film a part of one episode. Again, very cool.

  • I only liked this show for the Coyote car. My moms loved it tho! That car was hella tight!

  • I remember this show well and I remember a different into that includes Hardcastle kicking in the door and rescuing McCormick and blasting his shotgun. It happens right where the song says "iron and steel in the palm of your hand" at about 0:42. How do I remember? I have a cassette with it recorded on it! Good times, great shows!

  • tv was so great back then. take me back please...

  • Every time they jumped the coyote the headlight lenses would exploded. It was as sacred as barrell rolling a car in the A-Team.....Every week it happened at least once

  • This was the shit when I was a kid.

  • Very similar to Magnum PI, shows like this from the 80's were great!

Agree wholeheartedly with statements promoting music, movies, and tv shows from the 80's. Now days most people have 40+ tv channels to choose from...yet there is never anything on worth watching!

  • the car is awsome. they should start making them again

  • Too bad about Brian Keith killing himself a few years back!

  • The Cody Coyote is very cute car, love him :P

  • don't make tv like this anymore.

  • i used to love this show!!! I vaguely remember the episode with tom kennedy as an evil game show host lol

I hope they dont ruin this show with a crappy movie too...agh lol

  • WOW FANTASTIC INTRO!

  • the car looked much cooler in my memories...

like almost every vehikel from 80s action series

  • @ghettochef my fault, there were 2 models

  • 0:31 notice the stunt stolen from this later used in the first Fast and the Furious film. this show was the shit as were all 80s action shows period.

  • @Jetlihenchman wasnt it the 2nd?

  • @ghettochef Nope the very beginning of the very first Fast and the Furious with the black honda civics with the green lights jacking the truck.

  • Man I loved this show and you know what else I'll take back the 80s any day over the crap we deal with today.

  • @bosswall Where's a time machine when you need one.

  • @bosswall I agree. The 80's ruled!

  • most of the characters in the 80s shows seemed real not fake

  • 0:00 It's a Ferrari's Veglia-Borletti model tachometer!!

  • Comment removed

  • COYOTE X!!!!!!!

  • I love that car! The Cody Coyote was sweet!

  • best sound ever

  • Only in the 80s could you find such bucketloads of testosterone-laden intros like this. Show intros (except HBO's shows) are just dull, quick 5-second nothings to get to the show. Sometimes, we have to look back in time to see how simpler IS better.

  • good song

  • Still my dream car. When I got the chance to meet Stephen J. Cannell we talked about it and how they could never get the things to run consistently. Still want one though.

  • The other day I had this friggin' song trapped in my head. I have no idea why! Watched the show way back when it first came out.

  • Ah ptin j'm'en souviens un peu de cette série.

  • I like to see a movie of this come out. And Judge Judy should play the role of Judge Hardcastle.

  • @Scorp308: Who would play McCormick?

  • I was named after Brian Keith!!!!

  • Great show. I think they must have cut the porn scenes between Harcastle and McCormick here in the UK.

  • Yes i love this show even if it is old I like it so much!!!

  • The soundtrack was just so cool for this show. The show itself rocked, god bless the 80's.

  • man this was the shiiiiittt me and my little bro watched this shit everyday

  • I totally Loved this show!!

  • Man, give me those 90 seconds intros filled with great Mike Post theme music back!

  • I guess after Starsky and Hutch - all the cool guys had to have a red sports car - Magnum PI was my other fave - now THAT guy was a hottie!!

    and probably still is! ;-)

  • I loved these action adventure shows...nowdays all we have are these stupid comedy and CSI junk. I think these shows were much more fun to watch.

  • Loved this show as a kid

  • Classic 80s ... nice!

  • Looking back at 80's television, it really was the era where shows that we very male orientated ruled the airwaves. Consider the following shows

Magnum P.I, Simon & Simon, Dukes of Hazzard, The A Team, Riptide, Miami Vice, CHiPs, Knight Rider, The Fall Guy and of course this show. The emphasis was on action, attractive women, fights/punch ups and defeating the bad guy (which always happened).

Most of these series may not have been intelligent and thought provoking, but they were entertaining.

  • You can tell just from the theme song that this is probably the greatest show in the history of the universe and nothing will be ever be even half as radical.

  • @GnarlsOakley exactly like your comment

  • i love this show!!!

  • @GrowABrainstem Word. Look at Twilight. They took one of cinemas great villains (Dracula/vampire) and turned him into a pussy emo girly man. They are trying to stop men from being men by making you feel guilty for that which is natural: Manliness.

  • @GrowABrainstem your'e an idiot. these shows are great, and more shows should be like this today, but the use of your terminology and sexist slurs prove that you are just an idiot.

  • @GrowABrainstem Agree

  • i read a story about the car body, it was sitting in an empty lot, guy got it for under a grand. i think like 400-500 bucks.

  • Another Mike Post guitar masterpiece theme!

  • Have this song on a red 45 somewhere.
