The Nokia n97 mini is the better one of the n97 pair and is the best phone I've had out of the Sony Ericsson w800i, Sony Ericsson k800i, LG viewty, Sony Ericsson c905 and n97 mini. I LOVE the n97 mini, got it free on a contract and it's just awesom

@X6loki X6 has a capacitive touchscreen and N97 mini has a resistive, but if you like the physical QWERTY-keyboard, then it's okay, if the display doesn't matter. you have to know the difference between capacitive and resistive.

i was ment to get the phone a long time a go but did not recive, i rang the Nokia and they said it had been discontined...

i went to carphonewarhouse and asked about the mini and they told

"well this quite a story, Nokia had deciced to stop making the mini imaditiley ! because it was not working to standerd and they had alot of problems then nokia sacked the people who made the mini"

I'm a n97 user, but i might switch to the mini. A lot of people are saying that n97's lense cover is great, but it actually has a design flaw, as to when u drag the cover over the lense u will eventually scratch the lense and the flash. If u own a n97 leave the lense OPEN!

i never had a problem with that actually ... seriously i love taking photo's and i switch it on and off the whole time the only thing that could be called irritating is that it gets a bit slow if you switch the cover too many times in a short time of period but that's just me being hyperactive:D

I also like the idea of the sliding cover camera and the little arrow keys on the left of the keyboard.

The only thing I don't like is the back is made out of plastic! :(

But it made me want to buy one :)

People only buy the mini because a) it's cheaper and b) just the word 'mini' brings in all the 13 year old girls to the yard. Anyone who's considering purchasing an N97 for more reasons than downloading a hello kitty wallpaper and texting your boyfriend at 3 in the morning would pick the original as, (in the words of the reviewer) for all intents and purposes it's a better phone.

The battery cover on both of them just wont close shut. thats a problem. the OS also has lots of bugs. although its a 5 Mp camera built in, it wont match N95s camera image quality. i know cuz i have both

N97 mini: the worst phone I ever had: it's slow; it's confusing that some functions need a click a some others a double click for no reason, funny that no one in nokia saw that it's unstable when typing on a table due to tha camera objective in relief, if turned off it forgets all alarm notes during the off period,

(white version) letters on the keys almost invisible in sunlight (printed in light cyan on white), has no register of last numbers used.... bah

the normal size N97 is mostly plastic on the ouside. drop it, and its cracked. The mini has more metal that leaves only dents or scratches.

I found that the keys on the N97 Mini are easier to type on than the N97.

They are spaced farther apart, & have better travel.

The N97 is just priced too high for an all plastic phone. In fact, as of 3 days ago, Nokia USA sells the N97 Mini for $10.00 more than the regular N97.

Anyone having trouble deciding between the N97 & N97 Mini, just read every review & they all agree that the N97 Mini trumps the N97 in every way, except for internal memory & screen size.

yeap, and the flash kinda floods the picture... u can get rid of that by covering the scratch with a black pen or maker... the light wont refract any more. there`s a video about how to do that... it works, i tryed it.
