  • Wow, they are having the greatest time!!!

  • This song is great! I'm learning the alphabet really quickly thanks to this!

  • Thank you. This song is awesome for memorizing cyrillic

  • i wish i new russian all i know i spainish

  • Learning anything is hard. When I was a kid learning English was difficult, when I was a teen learning French was difficult and now i am an adult and learning Russian is difficult. After I have learned it though it seems so simple and I feel brilliant.

  • @sexylasvegaslady yay for self-improvement

  • @0:21 song actually starts

  • YES! i can sing along to the whole song!

  • these little kids are putting me to shame. lol.

  • The Russian alphabet: everything from A to backwards Z

  • I think of this as an alternate reality where this is the English alphabet.

  • ostiaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa (spakoinaaaaaaaaaaaa)

  • It is a very easy song to learn... Kinda makes me miss those days :/

  • Huh. I really wish Russian was taught in school, this is going to be a challenge

  • Polska spolecznosc internetowa przejmuje ten film :D

  • There needs to be a korean version of this episode, if they haven't done it yet!!

  • im getting the hang of it xD

  • so faaaaaaaast , damn you kids :)

  • This is the greatest song in the world!

  • @yui357

    It really is

  • How can u even sing this

  • This is creepy as fuck

  • How do you pronounce when they say soft sound and hard sound ...Tvrdi znak i meki znak?

  • @drazenkoj1990 tvyordy znak and then myagkiy znak

  • @drazenkoj1990 It's tyordiznak "ь" is the soft sign and myakiznak "ъ" is the hard sign. They just add an accent to the words they're in.

  • @JTman615 Other way around myakiznak is the soft sign, and tvyordiznak is the hard sign

  • Автор, верни года моей жизни! Хочу в те времена ;-)

  • Why is this so funny to me??

  • The only reason why I knew what the thing at the beginning said 0:00-0:01 was because I used to watch Sesame Street. And it looked exactly like it but in a different language. :D

  • Comment removed

  • Im 27 and started learn Russian but Sezame Street with kids really helped me and now i know all alphabet ;)

  • These kids are kicking my ass when it comes to this.

  • Damn it! Now that's gonna be in my head all day!

  • What is this purple bitch saying

  • I feel like a little kid again! :D

  • The reason the Russian language is hard to learn is because it doesn't originate from the Greek language. Its just coincidence that some letters sound the same and are spelt the same.

  • @WaroWari that's actually not entirely true.Cyril and Methodius were two Greek scholars that were asked to create an alphabet that would match the needs of the slavic languages.and of course, they were heavily influenced by their mother tongue,Greek.so the language itself doesn't originate from Greek in the most part, but the letters do.It's not a coincidence.

  • @WaroWari I speak Spanish and English but I haven't found Russian hard so far. I learned how to read it pretty quick now I gotta move on to the grammar.

  • @barretjones

i know spanish & english too,i can pronounced it very well the thing is that i forget what the majority of things mean, and about the grammar i know the one that is like this ¨ Privet " i cant read the one that is like this ¨привет ¨ :$

  • I know them all now yay !

  • @mizmisses wow i found who u r rose!!!!!!!!!!

  • Russina Sesame street!

  • I speak spanish as my native language and, apart from some r and k sounds, I don't find anything "impossible" to pronounce...I guess it's just weird to see different letters with new sounds.

  • Why I was borned in Russia?... T_T

  • The Russian alphabet isn't any harder than the English one, you know. All those sounds you take for granted seem just as crazy to outsiders.

  • this will be so helpful for my college class...

  • Russian is not that hard there is just a lot of weird non- english sounds :)

  • H=N? wtf

  • @BounzerProductions it's a different alphabet.

  • @jennygallery

i know, but i dont get it, why? H is nothing like N as far as i know lol

  • @BounzerProductions: the real reason why H=N is because we use the Greek Alphabet..so our letters come from them

  • @BounzerProductions it's because it's a different alphabet. they look at our letters and wonder why H doesn't make an N sound. it's Cyrillic so even if the letters look like latin letters they make different sounds

  • @jennygallery Ah thank you! :D

  • @jennygallery i have another question tho, dont kno if you kno it but, why is one letter said like '' tvrodi znakh'' or something like that? Is that like, 1 letters prenounced like that whole word?

    my english sucks

  • @BounzerProductions Tvyordiznak means hard sound like masculine and feminine, It itself is a letter that is used when your saying a manly thing! ;)

  • @BounzerProductions it's not pronounced like that, it's kind of like a place holder. that and the 'myerig eznak' indicate whether the word is hard or soft (something you'll only understand if you study russian) the tvorg eznak is rarely used anymore, where as the 'myerig eznak' is heavily used.

  • soooo helpful! i knew the alphabet but not the order and this helped soo much!

  • What is she saying in the beginning? :P

  • wut

  • Can anyone see the taller girl wearing overalls getting lost in the second time after the й? She's like, "i, i kratkoe, erm... I dunno, but let me move my mouth." 0:46

  • @m1s3lf

if you look closely non of this kids are saying them there like .... ksnsudks .. coockies.. santa ... okeey ..? ooohh

  • half of these letters look like the russians stole it from an Atari game.

  • *intro* OH MAN!!!!! BANJO AND RUSSIAN! HOW COULD THIS GET BETTER?!

    *sees russian abbie cadabie* OHMYASBNFIUAGVASGDFIL!

  • This is such a cool song! This is by far the best alphabet song in the world!

  • I didn't know they had elmo in other countries. but thanks for the video. i think i should put this on replay this everyday and I should begin to memorize it. kids shows are so helpful :)

  • @sUnnydUcks123 I remember, we had elmo

  • @ThatLuckieDuckie Do you see the way they're dressed? This had to be in the 90's when grease was in style.

  • I can now sing the alphabet faster than these kids. Repetition sure does work and thanks brain. :D

  • Jesus all those kids look as greasy as fuck.. Russians.. why the fuck did I take Russian short course..

  • sounds so much better than the english alphabet

  • full shit

  • They are so teasing me.. -:(

  • @IonTelevisionVimeo woot :D

  • at 0:52 the kid on the left is teabaging the ball lol

  • абвгдеёжзийклмнопрстуфхщшчъыьэюя i`m from RUSSIA)

  • Here in Česká republika we must learn Russian or face execute. Russian ovelords have no tolerace for Western Slavs, such is life in Česká republika.

  • @MeierTV: LOL!! to ni pravda

  • cute!

  • oy vey

  • I only have one question before or after communism's fall?

  • @bettyjohn13 After, man... After... :P Stalin would've executed the creators of this show personally if he'd see this.

  • @Laalem Stalin died in 1953...

  • learning russian starting tomorrow. My inner child giggle in excitement learning whole new language with sesame street

  • Why does it feel like I'm being mocked by children?... :(

  • I am in Russian I in college and our professor played this... the muppet was cute...

  • 0:34

    I MUST kill her...

  • @MeierTV

    Why? 0.o

  • @CircDeAutreLunae Probably because he can't pronounce П Р С ))

  • @MeierTV why?

  • In Russia, Cookie monster is female, pink, and has dreads HOLY FUCK!

  • it`s would be better if the lyrics is added

  • Just looked at this for fun...The tune is annoying, but it could be helpful to a young child learning the Russian alphabet. I learned this all (without a song) in Russian I at my school last year. I'm in Russian II now, and I don't really have difficulties anymore.

  • yept!

  • Russians have one of the weirdest alphabets and I have learned the arabic alphabet. I still can't get over the backwards R

  • I never knew russians had their own sesame street, huh and we thought we were so different during the cold war lol

  • holy shit are all russian children on speed?

  • Russian is a bitch of a language to learn..

  • 0:22 and a bit past 0:34 - Why to the same boy get to hold 2 blocks while the same girl get to hold one? It's a big difference when the girl at 0:33 get to hold three at the same time!

  • @saddasish is that a problem to you?

  • omg i wish this was 10 hours long.

  • @brightenhosie that can be arranged... for a price of course...

  • at school we have to learn russian and our teacher put this on and everyone is just like bah bah bah la la la... it was sooooo funny

  • this is so neat

  • Russian Elmo looks like a feral Snooki.

  • Really Fast x'P

  • Did anyone else drop their draw and have an eyebrow spasm like I did?

  • @Hyco1000 I was so confused

  • so fast

  • everything from A to backwards R

  • @Zazzy234 Я

  • @KillerCatfish7 Backwards R is that letter.. to me XD THIS IS HARD TO LEARN ._.

  • @TheMinecrafterNerd its called the "ja" but the pronunciation is different , it depends on the few things

  • @Zazzy234 I've heard that before where's that from???

  • @theofficialBCchannel family guy

  • @Zazzy234 More like everything from Ahh to Ya

  • Is this like the communist version of sesame street?

  • Become one with Mother Russia, da, children?

  • holy crap...russian children, my hat's off to you and your awesome alphabet song xP english subs for parts of it would be nice. watching kid shows is a good way to start learning a new language, especially the alphabet

  • seeing elmo in english thinking it was dumb and watching this makes me look stupid.

  • @halo56822 ROFL

  • what the FUCK are they on about

  • haha im russian and as hard as i tried i couldnt remember the alphabet. so confusing and long. ugh

  • @xoxWHYMExox Then you are not Russian. Russian was the second language I learned and I learned the alphabet in a day.

  • @maruceki then your just super smart, because im quiet positive that i am russian, unless im adopted.

  • [picture a teenager staring into the computer screen]

Mom: What are you doing on the computer so long?

Teen: Over and over and over again, Mom. OVER AND OVER

Mom: (walks slowly even a little distrubed)

  • That is a lot of russian!!! Me aunt is russian and her parents speak little english so i thought that it would be nice if I could learn some russian so we dont have to go through all this chaos. I know little russian. MEMORIZE MEMORIZE MEMORIZE!!! That's all I have to say. lol :)

  • That is not a memorable song...

  • Wow that's a lot of Russian letters to pronouce to remember

  • This is really great! I'm so glad Sesame Street is still teaching me things even into adulthood!

  • Yeah if you're learning Russian and reviewing the alphabet this is way more helpful then other alphabet videos on youtube. It makes more sense because they pronounce them better. This is adorable as well

  • these arent even letters!

  • @mjfan231000 well don't bother trying to learn then. Stop being so ignorant, just because the alphabet isn't the same as yours.

  • @aggzicle no need to be a brat. im not saying anything bad about the signs or letters. and by the way, im not learning it. i already know it. its just these letters seem different.

  • @aggzicle На всякий случай Вы думаете, что я лежал .., здесь - некоторое доказательство :)

  • @aggzicle лгавший **

  • i still can't pronounce the one after щ and the one after ы :s

  • @duhhybrid ъ is called твёрдый знак (tvyordiznak) meaning hard sign, and ь is called мягкий знак (myakiznak) meaning soft sign. They aren't strictly letters, but they change the way that other letters are pronounced in the word. Bonus fact, и краткое (Й) simply means 'short I' - compare it to И. Hope that helps!

  • it's 2 fast !!!!! damn it =( lol

  • Its RUSSIAN SESAME STREET !!! OMG :O

  • This is adorable. If you know the sounds of the alphabet it's easier to pick up.

  • I picked it up pretty fast! the last part is my face tho! The fast is cool :D

What is she saying in the beginning tho?

  • oh em gee that sounds like Belarus from Hetalia.

  • If you already know the alphabet it's not hard at all.

  • Too freaking fast!

  • i think twinkle twinkle little star wouldnt quite suit this alphabet

  • i actually find it helpful, just go to :20 and thats pretty much it. not very catchy though >_>

  • Exactly. When you watched Sesame Street[if you did when you were little], you could understand them because you were already accustomed to English.

  • Asì si aprendo !

  • the only part i don't get is when they say the K, it's pronounced "Ka", but it sounds like they are saying something like "Yelta". Explain?

  • @Ringei144 it sounds like they are saying yelta but they are actually saying ka. its just that they say it right after Й which makes it sound weird

  • What made me think that this was going to be easy?

  • Don't show this to Kevin Clash!

  • Well and i thought German is a difficult language...^^

  • Slow down, darnit!

  • what does she say in the beginning

  • I have a friend from russia and one of the little girls look like her sister.

  • I'm guessing this is the Russian alphabet. Lol

  • I like how none of the children are actually singing...

at least at the last part..

  • I like how none of the children are actually singing...

  • Aw man, I use this to help me with Russian!

  • i cant stop laughing at the ooooo part!

  • oh my god this is actually making it easier to learn the alphabet for me...

    this is...wow...

  • -Brain explodes-

  • Anybody know where I can find the lyrics to this entire song? It's great for learning the alphabet.

  • @Lauramariesongs hahahahahahaha

  • in soviet russia you no learn language language sing 2 u!

  • The english alphabet is so much easier, but if a child can learn the russian alphabet then so can i lol :L il be a pro in a year or five D:

  • @ZnamyaRevolutsii English is much harder. There may be more letters in Russian, but they all serve a purpose. Unlike the letter C. Fuck that letter. It makes a K sound and an S sound. Useless.

  • @OnlyALetter Your American, how can you find the letter 'C' confusing and annoying? :L Well it all depends i suppose although there are 2 Russian letters than dont actually serve a purpose, there just to show heard and soft sounds, at least i think im not 100% sure

  • @ZnamyaRevolutsii The letter 'C' is not confusing, just annoying. There is no reason for it. And the two letters in Russian do serve a purpose that the other letters do not.

  • @ZnamyaRevolutsii yep a hard and a soft sound
