@saltproofs There's a little more to it then just to pay respect to teacher and camp as the Mong Kol also has some of those attributes to it as well and Buakaw wears that even to the events where they won't let him do the Ram Muay. The Ram Muay/Wai Kru is also to show respect to the lineage of Muay Thai fighters all the way back to the first master..

Muay Thai is one of the most powerful styles on earth. As a Kyokushin fighter, I have fought and beat two proffessional, and 3 amateurs, but they were all solid fights, and were filled with after-fight injuries. I will never speak badly of Muay Thai.
