I'm a girl, but in my balletclass girl may also wear shorts. Can't guys were shorts? Because than you can still see all the muscles, but you don't have to wear tights.

If you wear white tights in class ( i don't know why one would do that, but bear with me ) wear two tights, because it's true that they're see through. But for performances on a stage, wear only one pair of tights, because from the stage you can't tell that they're see through...and because you can really see how ripped your legs are lol....wearing two pairs of tights really takes the definition out of your legs. And I don't know about you, but I'm proud of my big quads and calves! hahaha

that was the weirdest part anout when I was selected to be aprt of the nutcracker ballet last year...it was for a really classical, ballet centered studio where all the guys were in tights and there were alot of them...my studio doesnt have alot of boys and there all kinda little and dont do ballet so it was a new experience to see boys my age (very rip) dancing on a pre-professional to professional level..it was a very cool experience and I definantly want to do it next year! :)

Thank you for posting this. My Grandson, 11 years old, hates to wear tights and fights with me before class all the time. He would rather wear his sweatpants. Maybe it will help when he hears these big guys talking about it. Thanks.

lol, you mean as OPPOSED to? and, as you heard, not all dancers like them. The best thing about them is that one can see the leg well, making it easier to correct positioning and such.

tights look so uncomfortable, I admire their courage and endurance lol. I don't plan on wearing tights any time soon but it was interesting to figure out what was the real reason behind the ballet men wearing tights.

well.. at least for me, they're not uncomfortable at all; by the contrary.. and I liked how they look on me from the very beggining; I mean, "manhood" thing it's about the muscles and stuff, right? well, on tights you can show those muscles.
