This used to be a nice area to live, with a great shopping centre, nice cinemas, good schools and good transport links.

Sadly it appears that it is now home to a new breed of people who cannot express themselves without using an infantile form of English filled with profanities. Have all the schools closed as well as the cinemas?

i love the swan the people are lovely there are still quite a few pubs,shops,cafes etc, and a lot of characters still living there.The council ruined a lot of it by knocking down st oswald gardens and dispersing all families to all other parts of liverpool like they did with most parts of liverpool, but old swan is still one of the only places in liverpool where you meet a lot of your old neighbours when you go out to the shops or pubs of

I went back today, my childgood area....i was shocked at the desolution...its like a 3rd world cess pool. like being in communist russia. lister drive school pulled down, now a wasteland, the library abandoned....i have pictures, very painful to look at.

I re-visited old swan and stoneycroft area today for the first time in years since i left....I was totally shocked at the desolution and 3rd world cess-pit it had become. It was never like that. A real nice area. Sorry but i must tell the truth at what i felt. It breaks my heart to see it. Lister Drive School torn down, now looking like a wasteland. The library left abandoned it looked like....shops shut all over the place. I took some pictures, but i might delete it hurts so much seeing them.
