also what have you done to that rubiks brand to make it usable? do you use that to speedcube or are you just using it for tuts? also if not for speedcubing what do you normally use?
hmm. well when i started doing f2l i was horrificully slow, but now im as fast as ive ever been. so its the same for block building rite? ill be slow at first, but then bam its like second nature? cuz thats how it is with f2l :]
in general no it would probably be easier to learn but you cant get much faster than 15 seconds with this method. the current world record holder solved it in like 5 seconds or something and he uses fridrich
@terraking258 look up channel luigistl. and he uses roux and averages sub-10 and has an official 8.xx. You're also forgetting the feliks zemdegs is not human when it comes to cubing and it's stupid to compare him with other cubers since he's in his own league. Also nubs like you don't know everything so don't assume much it only makes you look stupid.
holy shit settle down cupcake i was just stating what i know and he may average sub 10 but that doesnt change the fact that the majority of the speedcubing community lean towards fridrich. and i dont assume i know everything i was just sharing my thoughts on the question, im not attacking your solve method or anything. plus felixs may be a bit of a freak but there ARE other people out there like erik akkersdjik who pull within similar timeframes.
@terraking258 and I avg 12 with Roux so don't discredit the method. sorry if I offended you in any way it's just that people need to know that Fridrich isn't the only good method.
wow thats rather impressive and im not discrediting the method in any way i actually like block building methods (although i prefer petrus) and i really dont think that fridrich is the only good method but is does seem to be the preferred method statistically. it would be interesteing though to see whether someone could pull sub 6 with roux method. and i have to aggree felix is a freak XD makes me proud to be australian
personally i think fridrich method is awesome and im 25 second avg with it but its no fun. the roux methods like weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee 1x2x3 :DD (other 1x2x3) CMLL <333 (which i dont know)
You argue that Fridrich is restricted to cross. but what is so bad about it? in Roux, ur restricted with 1x2x3 block lol u made know sence...and im an expearenced cuber and i actually got lost after the making of the blocks lol but ill belive that this method is better then CFOP when the recored is broken with it but for now Fridrich is better its and easyer faster method that once perfected can be done in 7-8seconds with roux u need to look around to much it feels like.
i'm not saying that fridrich cross is not effective. I'm just saying that roux more neutral in block building. You can make blocks in anyway possible starting with any piece. F2L you have to use standard F2L cases even in intuitive F2L, you lose the freedom after a cross. and good roux solvers are getting better. luigistl on youtube, had been using roux for only 1 year and get times similar to erik and nakaji. Imagine him practicing for 5years like nakaji and erik. The possibility is endless.
They have pefected it already...Theres not much more the can do at the point there at...I want to learn Roux though, I would like to ave more of a veriety...Maybe ill learn from your video on how to...
Yeah, I want to learn practically all of the rubik's cube methods out there. . .going in the order of fridrich, petrus, roux, and heise, it's gonna be a lot of work lol
@vgbjason I kinda did that by accident, I would get bored with fridrich for a while, and mess around with petrus. Then I started messing around with heise, and now I'm messing around with roux. I still use fridrich for speed though.
IMO Roux. It has so much more potential than fridrich and it has less algorithms and more fun...oh and I think it is sooooo much faster than fridrich :D but that's cuz i'm a hardcore roux solver

@terraking258 I like rubik's brands. silicon spray and a week of breaking in.

@ninemike9 that's how everything is that you're not used to.
cubes4lyfe 8 months ago
do u sometimes use f2l tricks to get the blocks? cuz thats the only way i can get the 1x2x3 blocs =/
ninemike9 8 months ago
@ninemike9 well I used to. now it's pure block building

which is better roux or petrus?
how would you use this for OH?

@sa11297 personal pref. and I have OH vids with roux on my channel

is this fasther than jessica fridrch method?

zimvaider 1 year ago
its not a method that you can "get" in one sitting. It takes a while to go get the hang of. since block building is just something that takes a while

you a roux ninja :)

practice heise before roux. heise will help you soooooooo much in block building in roux.
cubes4lyfe 2 years ago
okay, thanks! I really appreciate the advice ; )

im doing keyhole (done), fridrich, roux, petrus and i never heard of heise
poptheman1 2 years ago
heise is a pure intuitive method no algs at all
cubes4lyfe 2 years ago
How can it be called a method if there is no method?
UKSpeedCuber 1 year ago
there are still steps to how you solve it.
cubes4lyfe 1 year ago
This has been flagged as spam show
@cubes4lyfe Then it's not a 'pure intuitive method.'

Which do you find Fastest?

It looks like you have a split or cut on your thumb
I Have that problem where the ends of my fingers split open occasionally
It affects my solving.

I Just can't seem to make heads or tails of it...
Maybe because i need to be able to find the system in something, and i can't in Roux.

Halp meh.

Roux is all about just trying it. No building sequences, no algorithms for the blocks. its mainly an intuitive method. :P
If you need help message me :D
