  • Continuation of last post...

Since we don't see any parts of the Mach 4 later in the movie sitting in the Racer Motors shop, we can assume parts of it were reused in the Mach 6 design or simply scrapped. It wasn't seen again until the race in the beginning of the movie as a phantom, but the only character in the movie who saw it was Speed because he was at the race where Rex set the record. The reason Speed chose not to beat Rex's record was not a career move, it was all he had left of Rex.

  • @MachRacer4 wow you know your speed racer stuff i know the baseics but not the hole inside out of speed racer

  • @Lionferrari777 I kinda grew up watching Speed Racer on TV when it was on Cartoon Network in the late 1990's and I have seen the 2008 movie (in addition to having all 52 of the original episodes on DVD) and have the 2008 movie on DVD. I also have my own collection of the Speed Racer Hotwheels cars. I have the Mach 5, Mach 6, Mach 4 (Normal), both of Racer X's cars, Snake Oiler's Desert Rally Street Car, the GRX, Musha Motors car, and Grey Ghost cars. None from wave 2 as I could not find them.

  • @MachRacer4 ok

  • The story of the Mach 4 in the 2008 movie (which is the only Speed Racer thing it appeared in besides a comic) goes something like this. The Mach 4 was Rex Racer's RACING car until he quit Racer Motors to race for a big company. A while had passed (about a year I think) and the racing news was filled with stories of how Rex was a "dirty" racer because he was being ordered to eliminate the other drivers. During the Casa Cristo 5000 he "died" in a crash. From there the Mach 4 sat disassembled.
