I'm glad it all worked out though I wished to see it in tower case... Or even better, turned into a laptop. ^_^ But I'm just easily involved and tend to start many things and not finish all of them. ^_^ If you have a spare A1200, please consider turning it into a laptop, you seem very crafty with your tools, just think how cool that would be, much cooler than X360 or PS3 laptops! ^_^
@kad3t I am crafty indeed ^_^. To be honest I have seen the Amiga laptops but for me the motherboard is too bulky to be able to make it truly portable. I do love the Amiga 1200's case but I would love to make a tower and I fully intend to do so once I get some funds as it is an expensive project to undertake. I am going to do a vid soon about installing Magic Workbench and hopefully some gaming vids.
Scalos as well? Maybe (when you have the money) get a PPC card for it then and try out the OS4.1? I know, I know, I ask for a lot but I have not had my Amiga for a long while and keep wondering "what if"?
Ps. I will bug you about the laptop version once or twice more in the comming months. ^_^ Just because I wanna see it in action. ^_^
@kad3t To be honest I have been speaking to a few Amiga enthusiasts and they say that OS4.1 is bloat-ware which is why I opted for OS 3.5 as that was stated as a very good OS. I would love to get a PPC accelerator and I saw one in the states for about $499 I so wanted it but for now the price range is a little too high. I just hope once I get the funds there are still a few knocking around. Don't worry you can bug me as much as you like about the laptop. ^_^
$499 is a bit much... You could actually buy few complete Amigas with some peripherials and disks for the money. And still have enough left for a can of lager. ^_^ I'll scoop through my links Tommorrow though and if I won't forget I'll let you know if I found something as I believe I've seen an online shop in Europe where they were at least half the price... Or maybe it was eBay??? Nah...
@kad3t You can fire as many questions at me as you like. If you ever do get an Amiga I will even point you to an excellent forum where there is a great Amiga community with very helpful people.
@Retrosofer It sure did. Thanks again for your tutorials they really gave me the bug to try to go out and but the equipment needed to do this. Thanks also for your help and advice.
