@anthony9920925968 mine sit fix the same day ipost the comment, i just plugged to the BBDM (BBdesktop manager) and it told me to update bcuz it coulnt read the BB :)

Finally I was able to install 4.5 on my BB8100. Rule of thumb for Windows Vista users, run the device manager on Administrator. Also I Hate Windows VISTA!!

I would suggest not doing this because 4.5 will brick your BB. It will brick it if the installation fails.

I tried to update my BB Pearl 8110 to 4.5 tonight, and it totally bricked the OS. It would flash red with a black screen. I uninstalled the 4.5 version and installed the 4.3 version. I re-installed 4.3 on my blackberry and right now i'm at a white screen. Hopefully it will restore.

Do not do this update if you want to keep your Blackberry.

This is False! Yes you may get an error when installing but it does not brink it. i have dont it before all you get is an error and all you have to do it install the update a different way

I FINALLY got it fixed. I had to reinstall 4.3 on my phone...

If the update fails, you just keep re-doing it. It's not going to damage your phone, or your data (if you did the backup).

If all else fails, you can do a master reset or get your service provider to send you a new phone (if you're still under warranty).

I had an error during the update and then re-did it and it finished successfully. Phone is now booting up for the first time under 4.5 OS. Can't wait to get in and start messing around with it.
