What would be best for the Apollo Landing sites would be a Plastic a larse flat plastic walkover with ramps that you can walk on & look directly down onto the Landing sites with out disturbing foot prints.
Or even a Path of some sort In less disturbed areas.

Not sure where you would find the footprints. Some say the studios in england for 2001 a space odessy were used, others say the nevada desert or a studio in america. One thing is for sure, you won't find any foot prints on the actual moon.
