I doubt you're suffering from constant spider bites. Spiders only bite humans or large creatures when they are defending themselves. Spiders feed on other insects so the fact that you saw it in your bed could have been by chance as it wanted to look in dark places for other insects.

I never kill spiders in the home because they are beneficial. I have not once gotten bitten by one. BTW house centipedes are also beneficial and kill other bugs. They do much more good than harm.

I forgot to say, remember to clean under the tables too, cause there is very good hiding places for spiders too.

You need to use your vacuum cleaner all over your house first, including the mattress plus ESPECIALLY the back side of the bed, and wash your bed clothes. Remember the backside of the paintings too. When you have done all that you must spray under your bed and in all corners with inseticide. If you dont want new spiders to enter your house or apartment you need to put a mosquito net in front of your window or and door so you can have it open without thinking about spiders and other insects.

I was surprised at the average size of most spiders around the house being much larger than those back home. This past month my roommates and I had our first encounter with a Male Giant House Spider, the males are bigger than the females in this species and they are huge. Actually, chestnuts won't do anything. Whoever said is making fun of you. Tea tree and lavender won't either. Actually, mint is a common repellent for not only insects but rodents too. Your cat won't even like it.

But the best advice is to stop worrying, spiders don't collect thing to lay eggs, they are quite capable of making their own. And those are clearly not spider bites.

Spiders are just a common part of life, they are beneficial to us, and the Hobo is non aggressive.

The same thing happen to me, I quarantine my whole room and killed that large sucker too. Though it was a mistake because the small baby spiders scattered everywhere (over 50), so I used fire to kill them all and clean everything inch by inch.

I am so glad you put this up. I went and got one of those bed net things because spiders kept coming for me too. Since 2005 They come down from ceiling too. Those small spiders were sucking my blood at night when I was sleeping. One I caught on me and freaked trying to get off me from under my shirt. I still have to have the light on when I sleep. Now I get to sleep 7 to 8 hours. Thanks.

The bed net is a good start. What part of he country do you live in - might help determine the species. Those marks are very far apart. If that is from a spider, it would have to be a tarantula or an Aussie Huntsman. When in doubt - fumigate.
