hi. have you tried any other scanners? wondered how it compared. ive a yaesu 857 and yaesu ft60 with airband. the ft60 isnt anywhere near as good as the 857. pager noise across the band. shame as im looking for a good handheld for airband

i find the best antennas for vhf air are just simple 1/2~ dipoles(vertical) centered around 125mhz length of each element is 22 inches. ;)

I used a home made antenna in the back yard does the job.... :-)
