No, He says, "I love you evermore even after you're stoned". And it makes perfect sense, please don't change things for your own materialistic purposes.
Accept things for the way they are created and embrace.
No. It's not. "I bite my lip and you sharpen your tongue". "Sharp tongue" would mean eloquent more or less. So, to be "stung by words" is what the verse is about.
@riotact90 Oookay. Well, I *am* right, which was the entire basis of this "argument'. So whether or not you like it or think the song flows is entirely irrelevant. The beauty of USS is that they are more about the music and mind blowing lyrics than formula "flowy" songs that will make top 40 for all the tasteless, mindless people out there.
@SkippersPartyDoll "Both ways make sense. However, *I* think it makes *more* sense (and is more in USS fashion) as "stung".
Actually, USS makes many references to drugs and paraphernalia, so "stoned" isn't out of the question, and actually seems more acceptable than "stung".
"Sophia Elrod: I'm having an intense debate regarding Laces Out Lyrics. "I love you evermore even after you're STONED" OR "I love you evermore even after you've STUNG"?? February 1 at 11:49am · Matthew Maciejewski: I love you evermore even after you've stung (from their album cover) February 1 at 3:47pm Sophia Elrod: Yes! Win. Thank you. February 1 at 11:15pm · Jess Be: haha the SURBS still sing stoned. February 2 at 9:30am"
She spelled it "FoUrthcoming" and I figured that it was common knowledge how to spell "fOrthcoming". I had read somewhere that they did release other music, so I assumed she meant ''Fourth - up coming"
Good job with the transcribing. I had most of the song down, but needed to fill in a couple blanks and I'm sure there was nothing anywhere on the 'net a couple weeks back until you posted this.
Thanks for posting the lyrics! Two corrections though, I'm fairly certain it's "I love you evermore even after you've stung" which fits the theme of the sharpened tongue in the previous verse. I suspect it's "root" rather than "route" as in plants rooting after having pushed through the dirt. Great job!

That was an unnecessary and completely off base way of stating your opinion.
Both ways make sense. However, *I* think it makes *more* sense (and is more in USS fashion) as "stung".
You'll be taken more seriously if you can your condescending manner.

@riotact90 "I love you evermore even after you've stung (from their album cover)". Man.. I don't ever get tired of being right :)

Even if your right, that makes it worse, it doesnt flow nearly as good.

According to the official USS page on Facebook it's "stung". See below.

I did too when I first heard it. But if you think about it in context, it makes more sense this way.

it is CancerBats, skipper just can't envision life outside her bubble.

You are unbelievably ignorant. And once again your comment is completely irrelevant and off base. Read the comments above and get over yourself :)

4th album!?!?!?!?!?
What are the others called?
I'm pretty sure it's their first album and
Welding the C:\ was their frist EP.
YoungJatt91 3 years ago
Yup. 4th. It's the first full length album though.
I don't know the others are called. I dont know that they were really released.
SkippersPartyDoll 3 years ago
youngjatt is right. anything other than questamation and welding the c: is not considered an album.
toc69 3 years ago
I was told 4th album. Someone else, who posted her lacesout video before mine, also put "4th" I believe.
SkippersPartyDoll 3 years ago
nevertheless, I have just changed it to "New album".
SkippersPartyDoll 3 years ago
i think she said "forthcoming" :P
although technically, you are right in a way as 2 other things were released under a different name :P
toc69 3 years ago
Yes. That was my mistake.
She spelled it "FoUrthcoming" and I figured that it was common knowledge how to spell "fOrthcoming". I had read somewhere that they did release other music, so I assumed she meant ''Fourth - up coming"

Thank you. You are right, that does make more sense. I will make those changes.

No prob! Thanks for figuring out "The messiness is bliss," that was driving me nuts!! :)
Solvarex 3 years ago
Oh god... that was the hardest part of the whole song!

"and nothingness is bliss when you're shooting to miss" (from liner notes)

Thank you. I have made that correction also.
