  • thanks, it's actually not copied though (in the literal sense), i made this one in a different editor than what GunZ maps are made in

  • how did you made the break stairs?

  • I made a random bumpy brush with the floor lofter tool, and rotated it sideways and subtracted a chunk away from the stairs, then intersected the whole thing into one brush (and deleted the 2 brushes used to make it) :)

  • thanks, I tried to let all weapon types be useful in some way in the design. nades and rockets would be really useful for the defending team since the attacking team would most likely rush to the ledge below the entrances and camp. rifles and pistols/revs would be nice for attacking to and from the centerpoint of the map - the top point where the two stairways meet. shotguns and uzis for the short hallways and the spawnroom areas :P

  • no you cant, this is just a concept since I'm familiar with UnrealEd. but I just learned that some private servers can host custom maps, and I learned that they can be compiled with Radiant and a tool by Legion.. so when I get some time I'll probably make the map for the private servers I guess

    The GunZ mapping scene is still relatively young(and unknown -__-').

    Radiant is quite diffrent from Unreal Ed but i do hope you learn it :)

  • thanks, I've mapped in Radiant before for a game called Return to castle wolfenstein, but not very much. actually, it seemed very similar to Hammer for HL1 which i've used a lot now too :)

    huh... oh are you the Legion from GunZ? the person who made that map compile tool and MRB+? (maybe more? i'm not too active in Gunz communities)

  • thanks man, apparently (just learned) some pservers are able to host custom maps, so once I can I'm gonna do the map again for the actual game this time :)
