Lady is from a game called Lady Stalker and Nigel is from LandStalker, so they put stalker in this title to fit in with them. The time part comes from the fact that the Time Stalkers world is a collection of different periods of time, such as medieval times and the future.
Climax Landers makes more sense, especially since this game has nothing to do with neither time nor stalking.
