  • I have a xp, and whenever i right click on my wireless network connection properties, there is no wireless networks tab, can someone help?

  • @Evilnaruto443 i had that untill i found out the problem, if you have another program to manage wi fi disable it and enable windows wi fi configurationthen the wi fi tab will apear thats how i fixed it

  • i don't have the ad hoc optinon. what is wrong?

  • I have never been able to get this to work on XP. I've tried this on and off for half a year. I believe the ICS service on XP is flaky. I also have had troubles with the gateway blocking outgoing IP traffic from the private LAN I created from the adhoc network. It's weird. I'm able to resolve DNS names from an internal client in the private LAN, but they cannot ping to the resolved server names. For example, pinging Yahoo resolves the hostname; however, ping traffic doesn't go.

  • @mililaniguy eventually, I discovered NAT32. NAT32 rocks! I have FINALLY been able to convert my laptop into a WIFI router; hence, I can create a WIFI hotspot. All you need to do is install NAT 32 and the protocol driver. Create the adhoc network on the wifi adapter. Run NAT 32 config. In my case, the Internet connection is a long range WIFI adapter connected to an open WIFI network. The internal private network is the internal WIFI adapter running the adhoc network. Easy peasy.

  • Umm... The "Internet Connection Sharing" at 4:08 is not there for me. Help me please.

"internet connection sharing cannot be enabled. A LAN connection is already configured with the IP Address that is required for automatic IP Addressing."

What is the problem with this? im using the internet in student dorm

  • 3 hours iv been trying to do this on xp for my ds and all i seem to end up doing is crippleing my wired inet connection and having to rewind the laptop with system restore

  • wont work when connecting a psp!.. ive tried scanning and manually scan the connection.. for shot.. psp cant connect to the hotspot!

  • i tried that to and it didn't work for me either

  • i did this just as the vid said to do it but my psp never seems to find it when scanning?..any help!?

  • Doesn't work with an iPod Touch - the instructions are perfect, the wireless hotspot is created and you can connect to it with any other laptop or with a Wi-Fi enabled Nokia phone, but not with an iPhone or iPod Touch.
