In '74 or '75 I went to see ZZ Top in K.C. At the time, they were the hottest act around. Rory opened. I didn't really know much about him when I walked in, but I sure as hell did when I left! He blew everyone away! The energy, the incredible talent. To this day, I can't pull up a single ZZ Top number played that night. It was Rory, Rory and Rory!!!!!!!!!!!!

Shit Hot - I saw Rory in 1973 (Ulster hall Belfast - I was 15) and in 1991 in the Town and Country club London (as was). Fucking brill. I wish I had seen this gig - just amazing. Compare this to all the boy bands - Fucking Wankers. My mate (Charlie Jeffrey-Hudson) met Ted McKenna late at night on Victoria Station (therin lies a story) just after he had "moved" from SHAB to working with Rory and got a signed photo of Ted with SAHB. Charlie gave it to me as he was a decent geezer.
