In this short clip, Menuhin asked for the same correction 4 times and seemingly never really got what he wanted because he plays it almost exactly the same way (his way) each time. He plays those first two notes only the slightest bit gentler the final (4th) time. Menuhin finally gives up on the 'intimacy and whispering' and says 'that's fine.'
