With the iphone in the uk which ever tariff you take the iphone on it includes free data that includes using it on the 3G network.

With the prepay version of the iphone you get 12 months free data then its £10 a month there after.

Also be aware on pay as you go you do not get visual voice mail.

8gb iphone is £350

16gb iphone is £400

If you are questioning the speed then, wifi is really based on the speed of your broadband. But if your broadband has a good connection the iphone is great! With 3g i would say it is not as fast as advertised but it is still very fast! it is quicker than any other 3g phone i have ever used.

You could use the iphone in the uk but you would have to have it unlocked with is currently not easy and i would not suggest it! My suggest would be to just get it free on o2 in the uk, there tariffs are good and include unlimited internet access from the phone! Plus then you have a warranty and access to all the features on the phone.

Hey thanks for the question!

There is 2 ways of adding more icons to your home screen.

1. via adding new apps using the apps store integrated in software 2.0+

2. You can add icons from going to website like Ebay on the phone at the bottom of the screen in the web browser is a + symbol you can click this and "add to home screen" this will create a web link on the home screen as an icon!

Activation does take place when you buy the phone so you do have to enter a contract, some parts of the world are going to be offering the iPhone on pay as you go as of Xmas with no contract!

Hey, the phones does not log out of the internet if you click back on the internet after it will be in the same place you left off. This is due to the iphone including free data on the contract so the phone can remain on the internet. hope this helps

the phone will need to be enabled with a flash player before flash apps will be out the but adobe is working on a flash player for the iphone that should be out soon! The app store offers hundreds of apps for all task already including loads of games.

As for using your pc you have no problem the iphone syncs with itunes which is out there for the pc.

Does it take you to the actual youtube site, or the mobile site? with the lack of adobe flash player plug ins and java, can you still view video's on youtube, or only on the mobile site?

i hate phones that go to the mobile site instead of the actual site.

Provided you have a good signal the battery life will be great, you can get upto 24 hours of audio playback on 1 charge! As for youtube the phone has its own youtube browser, which is MUCH better than the mobile web browser!

say u buy iphone 3g on eBay with no carrier contract and you insert ur cim of same carrier. It no doubts works, but does the GPS work now ?(given that you dont have data plan)

I would asume it would work fine, unless you are using location based services you are not using data so a data plan is not needed, but if you want to use location based services a data plan would be advisable as data charges without one can be hugh!
