The Word of God states that we must confess Jesus as our Lord and believe in our hearts that God raised Jesus up from the dead, then salvation is given to us. Baptism is an outward sign of what has taken place on the inside of a person. Personally I do not see any harm in getting re-baptize.

Or in Colossians 2 where it says that baptism is the new circumcision,not in the flesh, but one of the heart, WHICH Paul talks about in either Romans or the Corinthians (or both) that we must have a circumcised heart.

One cannot please God without knowing his will. I am trying to help you see that saying a prayer does not make anyone a christian. I do not see that anywhere in the bible. You are right but only in one aspect, saying a prayer does not make you a Christian if that prayer has no faith, but if that prayer does have faith then God does give us the grace to be saved, oh yeah, the book, chapter & verse for that is Ephesians 2:8,9. What does these passages has to do where one get down on their knees and say a prayer in order to be saved? As a note, I do not deny scriptures at all. I just let the bible speak for itself. Instead they were REVEALED to you because you were taught in some way. Peter's confession on Matt. 16:16, he acknowledged Jesus as God's son but he did not pray. Jesus said that it was revealed to him (v.17). You can confess without praying.

Also, in 2 Samuel 6, in verse 17, David offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before the Lord as commanded in the Law. Many christians still today don't think that they are worthy of being forgiven. But, God's gifts and God himself is a proper gentlemen. He can only knock on the door, but you have to open it to let him in. You have to believe and know that your sins are forgiveable in order to be truly forgiven.

I dont understand with what all Jesus said and done, we are still asking if he was white or black. What does it matter if people depict him as black, white, hispanic or asian? why does it bother us when it does not bother God? People, listen to what Jesus said- what is of the flesh is flesh, what is of the spirit is spirit. We are called to be walking in the spirit, but how can we do that when all our thinking is fleshly and earthly?

In my defense, I do love everyone. Jesus did love everyone and us as well. However, Jesus also corrected his fellow Jews. What I am trying to do to help you understand God's will. One cannot please God without knowing his will. I am trying to help you see that saying a prayer does not make anyone a christian. I do not see that anywhere in the bible. Then the question should be, is it a part of God's plan? If I am wrong, please show me: book, chapter, and verse.

You are right but only in one aspect, saying a prayer does not make you a Christian if that prayer has no faith, but if that prayer does have faith then God does give us the grace to be saved, oh yeah, the book, chapter & verse for that is Ephesians 2:8,9. I prayed this prayer of faith 11 years ago and had a 2Cor5:17 experience, you can tell me I'm not a Christian all you want, I know that I am and have eternal life, 1John5:13

Ok, what makes anyone believe that they are child of God by praying from reading those passages? What does these passages has to do where one get down on their knees and say a prayer in order to be saved? As a note, I do not deny scriptures at all. I just let the bible speak for itself. Can you give me an example where someone asked, "what shall I do to be saved" and the other says, "get down on your knees and say this prayer"? I am speaking of what is commanded and not an aspect of confessing.

No my friend, they were not. You cannot get sinners prayer from those scriptures. One is saved from God's grace through faith in Christ Jesus. So if one, wants to be saved, they have to believe (John 3:16) and obey Christ (John 3:36). I've yet to read any where were someone said a prayer in order to be saved. There isn't a direct command or example in the bible that supports a sinners prayer. In Acts 2, what did Peter tell those 3,000 people to do in order to be saved? Was it to pray?

What I dont support are commands or practices that are not biblical. So far, I have yet to see either by example, direct command, or necessary inference that you have to say a prayer in order to be a Christian. If you cannot find it, then why are you doing it? (1 Cor. 4:6, Rev. 22:18-19)

Do you not think that God has divine standards? Jesus got on the Pharisees and scribes (Mark 7:1-13) for changing God's commandments into their own traditions. Jesus says that it is the word that will judge you on the last day (John 12:47-48). So do you not think that Jesus feels the same way today? I agree with Rom. 10:9, but could you explain what Jesus means in Mark 16:15-16? I'm still waiting on Acts 2.

You are absolutely right. To confess means to declare or to acknowledge. How to you know that 1+1=2? or the force of gravity? You didn't pray about these things. Instead they were REVEALED to you because you were taught in some way. Peter's confession on Matt. 16:16, he acknowledged Jesus as God's son but he did not pray. Jesus said that it was revealed to him (v.17). You can confess without praying.

I am very familiar with that passage, but here is my question to you. Did you know that David offered up sacrifices of goats, rams, and bulls as well (Psalms 66:15)? Also, in 2 Samuel 6, in verse 17, David offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before the Lord as commanded in the Law. The main problem with Christians is that we really don't show love like Christ did. We constantly judge, condemn and bring down people. We don't show that we are to love our brother as thyself and to forgive because we are not perfect ourselves. This is the reason why lots of people hate christians. Also, we do divide ourselves simply by our denominations. Why do we need denominations for? We are suppose to believe in one God so no division is needed. We really need to step up before we lose out

Many christians still today don't think that they are worthy of being forgiven. But, God's gifts and God himself is a proper gentlemen. He can only knock on the door, but you have to open it to let him in. You have to believe and know that your sins are forgiveable in order to be truly forgiven.

My prayer for eluno333, I want you to know that God loves you inspite of you and the only prayer that Jesus will hear from you is the sinner prayers, that is to confess your sins and believe in your heart that Jesus Christ died for you and rose again to give you new life,Romans 10:8-10,13 at this point youre in need of salvation and your language reflect such, the greatest sin anyone can commit is rejecting Jesus Christ.

first i want to thank god letting me see another day and lord forgive me me for all my sins in my life and the stuff i seen on the internet. lord thank you for looking over my brothers in the accident if wasn't for you he could of been dead but it was your grace and mercy. i know i said in my i would stop looking at that stuff. lord direct me in the right way. lord forgive me for all my sins. thank you lord for being how you are.

but dont think u can just go and sin and sin and sin knowing what you are doing, then just ask for forgiveness. dont you think Gods a little smarter then that? yea u will be forgiving, but you push your limits with the holy spirit..and blaspheming the holy spirit is the unforgivable sin...if u read the bible u should know this...of course we cant be perfect! but dont think u can get away with everything and just be forgiven
