Whoa. Hadn't dipped into this thread in a long time. Dismayed about the negative comments about Aaron Turner, who couldn't be a more thoughtful person and artist. If he comes across as anything but, then it is a fault of my interview.
@fordmodels Don't worry yourself, it seems to have been a fantastic interview. Many people are still a little offended by the whole break-up thing, and feel the need to direct that anger toward whomever they find to be an appropriate target.
The man isn't a douche or by any means come off like one. People need to stop wasting time talking sh*t about people for no reason the Internet is the easiest way to be a faceless coward.
Jesus, what's with the Turner-hate? I'm not getting the "douchey" vibe you guys seem to be. I'm seeing someone who appears to be very articulate, and very empassioned about the music he creates. It seems to me that certain people in the comment section perhaps feel somewhat threatened when faced with someone more intelligent than themselves, and take offense to it.
I'm kinda sorry to be saying this. Turner sounds like a douche. A little ego trip there, dude. Just a little too self-conscious at a time when he's really talking pretty simple stuff. But the tone! Oh, the tone! So grand!:P
I do enjoy the music, though, especially Wavering Radiant.

Aaron Turner is so full of fucking shit ppl like this make me so fucking sick ISIS was just a neurosis watered-down bullshit go away who the fuck cares about you
@davethehostage whoa, my comment got screwed up. I meant to say "Yoko ruined a great band so that Aaron Turner could play in her shitty band". I fucking love ISIS. Mammifer, however, is fucking garbage. But I'm not going to argue with your reply, I'm a total dipshit. I want more ISIS and that unrealized dream has evolved into various neuroses, i.e., developing conspiracy theories on why ISIS REALLY broke up. If that doesn't make me less of an idiot to you... Pythaegoran Theorem...big words
@TheStinkfister I just detest the constant theories suggesting that Isis' demise is the fault of his wife. People need to realize that artists change on their own just fine. They're people too - they grow. Aaron's clearly passed the point of which he felt he could continue writing for Isis, decided that he was proud of what they'd accomplished, and called it quits before carrying on with a project he was less engaged in. That should merit great respect, not silly conspiracies.
this guy is a superb human being

That's it, I'm gonna grow a beard. I got nothing to lose. I'm already repulsive to women in general so it couldn't hurt in that aspect.
