Hi my husband and adopted our schipperke and wouldn't trade KC for anyother dog!!she's the best!!She loves our other dog we just adopted a pappion and they are*Friends*forever.They get along well with oher breeds also and cats.When she runs it is so funny:)!!!they are truely devoted to you and love learning triucks,very smart dogs!!

Thanks for the great pictures! I got my Schipperke / Pomeranian at the Irvine Animal Center. "Marty" is very independent & tends to have some barking problems - he has never bitten anyone but certainly has scared a few - he can be a Tasmanian Devil Need I add I love very much!

I got a schipperke for free for my birthday. I'm kind of freaking out because everything that she does scares me. I keep thinking that she's going to get sick and die like my last dog, who had hemolytic anemia. Maybe i should give her back, because if she breathes the wrong way I start having a panic attack. Maybe I'm not completely over my other dog yet. Maybe i need some counseling... maybe i dont need to have another pet ever. lol I just dont know.

I own a Schipperke named Igor. The best dog in the world. He was a rescue and I could not have been luckier to find him. I've met a few other Schipperkes and they are all wonderful. Best temperment in the world and comics.

Hopefully you've already done your research. These dogs need heavy early training or they become a nuisance and a pain to all who live with them or nearby. A neighbor has one. He's still not housebroken after three years and barks all day long. The bark is high pitched, ear-piercing, and nonstop- annoying to all in earshot. It's NOT the dog's fault...the owner made an uneducated decision. Shame, as they are cute. Good luck.

as the owner of a schipperke I highly advise you look for a different breed of dog! lol. I love my little guy, but he's tottaly a handful sometimes, he's got crazy amounts of energy and they usually have some uh... 'interesting' personality traits.

I have a six weeks old schipperke puppy sleeping in my arms as i write this......yes they are too cute! i got mine yesterday! ive had one before - but he died from a brain tumor in novemeber - he was only 7 - it was so sad! i love schipperkes though and would never give up from having them! i love them!!!

Schipperkes are so adorable we have a schipperke since he was a pup. He is such a joy to have. When our schipperke was a pup people thought he was a pigv. Now some people think hes a cub bear. Some people don't even know what a schipperke is.
