  • Better than sex, this film was amazing, the animation was fucking incredible, the best use of 3D to this date, and am I the only one who shit themselves while watching it, the saw films don't even scare me.

Sorry, but a a rental is a disgrace, but I do respect your opinion.

  • Does anyone know where I can find the full review?

  • i sore this and i was so fucking creeped out!

  • This movie disturbed the shit out of me. No way would I let little kids watch it.

  • Monkey Bone… GET BONED!!!

  • @Mukudzu Shit, I thought i was the only one that remembers that piece of crap existed. Used to love that shit when I first watched it

  • @CaptainSheasss hahhahaaha ya

  • @spillcom *clears throat* *puts on reading glasses* Dear Spill.com and your awesome reviewing crew. I'd like to say you guys are really funny and awesome with your reviews and i enjoy that a lot, but i do have a question. What's the title of the song that plays for a few seconds before each of your reviews? Please reply as soon as time permits. Sincerely, some guy outta the hundred of thousands that watch and love your reviews :D

  • @Akatsuki2020 It was done in Austin Texas by a hip-hop group called Vehicular. Its not an actual track or song, they just through together the intro for us and we liked it. The band is no longer together. Thanks for the question Man! Im sure others are curious.

  • @spillcom hey spill crew. ever thought of making your intro a ringtone? cause that would be awsome

  • @dabeast987 yeah we have been looking into it. We might put it on iTunes for people to download free.

  • @spillcom That would be awesome!

  • @spillcom Oh, if you guys could put it on iTunes, it'd be wonderful. You'd be even more awesome than you already, which would rather difficult. It might be similar to dividing by zero. Frankly, i think Chuck Norris would be quite jealous, but you'd have earned the bragging rights, hahaha!

  • "Yeah, and that guy got fired."

    XD

  • The one scene near the end when the cat was trying to wake Coraline up my mom was like, "Ooh he better be careful he might cut his paw on that nose of her's." XD

  • Those beebs are annoying

  • "Ok, Coraline was smokin' some shit alright?" LMAO! Hey he's probably right! XD

  • They're saying it's made by the stop motion artist of most of the Tim Burton movies

  • I think they need to go see it again, it never felt like it slowed down. It was always consistent with whatever was going on.

  • wht is tht inro song can some one plz tell me

  • @darkshadowswwe it wasn't? I heard it was!

  • aw man, theese reviews are realy junk... JUST KIDDING THE'RE AWESOME!!!!!!

  • this movie was scary when you are watching

  • @darkshadowswwe

Nightmare Before Christmas = Tim Burton

    Corpse Bride = Tim Burton

Anything with stop motion + Coraline = Tim Burton

  • @01kingmike Tim Burton was not involved in coraline

  • @darkshadowswwe probably cause it looks like a movie that tim burton would make

  • this movie is super! i mean. i've never been moved by a movie before and this just hit me to the core. it took me back when i was a kid and i wished my parents were rich and they could give me everything i want! i wanted the world to revolve around me. i commend the writer cause he took that reality and made this really cool and spooky story. and the animation was great too. though the voice acting was a bit off sometimes.

  • Man, when I was little my older sister would let me watch Friday the 13th, Nightmare on Elm Street, It, Night of the Living Dead, all these horror movies and I never had a bad dream. I'm 18 now, and when I watched Coraline I had a friggin' nightmare about the Other Mother. Loved the movie, though, liked it better than the book.

  • i agree, it's beautiful

  • im glad it was stop motion its a dieing art, because im fucking sick of cgi it pisses me off, also this film kind of reminded me of American McGee's Alice

  • the fake mom of Coraline was scary

  • @darkshadowswwe When they say "From the director of Nightmare Before Chrismas" It's kind of a given WICH one of the two directors they're talking about...not that our asumptions were right...

  • A shape shifting, super natural, evil, entity louring children to their fate with promisis of treats and goodies. This movie is pretty much "IT" for kids.

  • @DII117 ... my ass it was. IT wasn't scary. Compared to that shit, THIS is really scary. I laughed at IT.

  • @kurvos I'm talking about "IT" the book. Coraline and IT a very similar novels when it comes to plot.

  • @DII117 Girl walking into a alternate universe with assumingly "better" parents, just trying really to trap her in the world? Uhm, yeah... sounds like IT alright...

  • @kurvos It wasn't an alternate universe, it was just an illusion brought about by a ship shifting, super natural, evil, entity louring children to their fate with promises of treats and goodies. (Like IT)

  • @DII117 Okay, fine - I accidently used the wrong term. I meant to say "illusionary universe". And your comparison is really, really farfetched. In that case, we can add in millions of other stories.

  • @kurvos Regardless, it's an awesome movie/book.

  • @DII117 Coraline? Well, when it comes to the movie, I absolutely agree. I can not say about the book, since I'm not a book reader. What I find kinda funny about Coraline is that the story got that typical cliché of someone being bored of real life, enters a new world they love; just to then realize there's something wrong there; and still, it feels new and fresh. And someone here said it's a "horror movie for kids", which is bullshit. This movie is NOT for kids. But I love it, yeah. XD

  • @kurvos Read a book mother fucker read a mother fucking book

  • @DII117 Excuse me, but... I ignore trolls. Bye bye, loser. :D

  • @darkshadowswwe The music sounds like Danny Elfman (who makes alot of soundtracks for Tim Burtons movies). It feels like a TIm Burton movie with the stop motion and stuff. And it says from the people that made Nightmare Before Christmas, and Tim Burton made that.

  • @darkshadowswwe Wasnt he just a producer or something?

  • I didn't think It was a good movie for my son But ONLY because they didnt have to make them ladies with HUGE boobs with NO CLOTHES

  • @bekkasuperstar It's not a movie meant for kids, captain genius.

  • 3:59 bottem left coner CHOCLETE DIPPED BOOBIES!!!!!

  • @darkshadowswwe i wish it was buddy iwish it was

  • @darkshadowswwe It has that Tim -Burton "feeling" in it.

  • @NightmaresLover No, it doesn't. Tim Burton is washed up, plus this movie doesn't have Johnny Depp in it.

  • @Agentbromsnor Uh, hellooo? its MY opinion. I dont care about yours, but as far as i know you CANT tell me my opinion is wrong or right either, as a matter of fact.

  • @NightmaresLover Yes I can, its called freedom of speech.

  • @Agentbromsnor Well, i honestly couldnt care less.

  • Coraline was smoking some s**t alright, cuz I found a magical door way in my house and all I found was my Dad's porn!"

  • @roguecereal

Sorry, at the time I posted that comment, I hadn't seen The Nightmare Before Christmas for a while, and I forgot that it wasn't Tim Burton who directed it until I watched it again recently. Sorry.

  • @darkshadowswwe

Well, the commercials said it was from the director of The Nightmare Before Christmas, and who was that? Oh, that's right, TIM BURTON!!!

  • @TheMetalGearChick1 the director of the nightmare before christmas was henry selick YOU RETARD!!

  • i was fucking at this movie

  • this is one of the best stop motion i seen ........ pretty awesome

  • CG does not compare to this form of art. Frame by frame, wow!

  • once u go black... u wont ever go back lol

  • i love this movie just like i enjoyed the nightmare b4 christmas :) as a kid !!!!!

  • @darkshadowswwe well it says its made by the director of the "nightmare before christmas"

  • I miss Carlyle.

  • @darkshadowswwe Its dark? all i know is Neil Gaiman xD brilliant author.

  • Silent Hill for kids

  • @IanHawshire meh this movie is better then the silent hill movie but game wise ya that's true

  • button eyed bitch

  • BETTER THAN SEX!!!!!!!

  • nightmare before christmas best movie ever :D ....

  • Coraline is a very fine creative movie. The book is also very well written and has more thought in it than people laughing with a rude, idiotic joke about tampons would ever have. And yes, there are other people apart from tim burton who also create such great movies. And to whoever is commenting, seriously, a six year old child could comment much better on the movie and would actually review the movie instead of swearing and laughing using idiotic phrases.

  • @YuckyMuffin the movie sucked

  • @fvaladez3 I was just expressing my opinion on the movie. I accept your opinion.

  • @YuckyMuffin Indeed. I thought this was a spectacular film because not only was it faithful to a brilliantly whimsical book but also elaborated and expanded the universe in such a creative yet dark way.

This movie is an instant classic!

  • @darkshadowswwe: I was confused about this at first too. The stop-motion and character design is very similar to The Nightmare Before Christmas, which people tend to think was entirely created by Tim Burton, although Henry Selick made it - Tim Burton only wrote it. In the trailers, it's presented as "from the creator of The Nightmare Before Christmas", who is assumed by many to be Tim Burton. Thus, people think Coraline is Tim Burton's work. Tim Burton had no involvement.

  • LOL Magic doorway leading to his father's porn collection!

  • Lol this is a horror movie for kids that will only scare the shit outta adults.

  • @darkshadowswwe Because idiots can't tell the difference between who directed The Nightmare Before Christmas & who wrote it.

  • @darkshadowswwe Because it's a stop-motion movie, like the Nightmare Before Christmas. It was Henry Selick people! He's the director of Nightmare Before Christmas, and Coraline! Tim Burton only wrote the Nightmare Before Christmas.

  • the 3d sucks asssss

  • the 3d sucked asssssssss

  • i saw keith david naked in requiem for a dream.

  • Stop-Motion animation is just like 2-D animation, its becoming a lost art.

  • This movie was kinda wierd and suggestive at some points, but still its a really good movie.

  • Love this movie so much.

    Full Price. :)

  • I fucking LOVE this movie

  • i almost shit myself at the end XD

  • @darkshadowswwe I haven't seen the film (yet) but my guess is because it has the "Tim Burton-Feeling" to it. You know, kinda dark, strange but also with a certain charm to it. It also doesn't really help that it is Stop-Motion, like a certain other famous movie directed by Tim Burton ;)

  • i love this ever!

  • @lizalauretacampos speak english

  • @SunRider09 dude. not evberyone on youtube speaks english. youtube spans across the entire world. not limited to american. if he isnt speaking it right then who cares. mabye he's spanish, or austrian

  • i fuckin love this movie it really creates an atmosphere wheres its wonderful, scary and surreal id give full price oh and the 3d kicks ass

  • Neil is the greatest stop motion director ever.

  • Yh i really enjoyed this movie.

    I was poo-ing my pants....

  • Big Black Tampons

  • yeah but if it was all CG it wouldn't be special

  • ☻_☻

  • shadowman was the cat!!!!! =O

  • @darkshadowswwe Because they don't read the credits?

  • I LOVE CORALINE!!!!!! xD it scared me a few times but it was awesome!!!

  • If this were filmed in live action it would be scary as fuck

  • @xplay101

    definitely.

  • I know that stop motion is incredibly tedious, but it has a unique feel and look that CG will never be able to capture

  • ☻_☻ creepy film

  • The part that scared the shit out of me was when she woke up and the the cat was right in the screen

  • @XxchrisxX121 that's fucking creepy

  • The book was better!

  • everybody is saying they liked it... but i thought that it was too linear... and the last part... reminded me of a video game... i hated that so much

  • @th3MUTT what?? you hate that it reminded you of a video game?!?! things that remind me of video games i love!!

am i to obsessed with video game?? >.> lol =P nah you can't be to obsessed with video games lol =P

  • @Bowzerisadog sorry dude it just felt unoriginal... and kinda cheesy

  • @th3MUTT lol you mean the part at the very very very very end?? O-o when you hear a bang??

  • @Bowzerisadog no... the entire 3rd half... i didnt like it

  • @Bowzerisadog wow i said third half... i mean last third of the movie

  • @th3MUTT lol

well i thought it was good =P

  • I read the book I plan on seeing the movie I go to you guys for a movie I plan on seeing.

  • I suggest reading the book as well. Neil Gailman does look like the kind of guy who would write his little girl a story like that. Nice but...a little...eh...hmm...

    I like it. =D

The opening sequence took my breathe away; I love claymation. It's completely hardcore - and INSANE. o_0

  • Not as good as the book or graphic novel, but still awesome!

  • This was an awesome review. I love the comedy lol

  • all i found was my dads porn lol

  • They have the kitchen setting and the theater at the Universal Archives in Hollywood.

  • It's not a Childrens Horror movie, it's not even a Childrens movie, it's just a movie with animation instead of live acting

  • this is a movie for animators....

  • Keith David- Arbiter, Goliath (for us oldies out there, you might know what I mean), and now a cat :) Is there nothing he can't do?

  • @kidragakas You forgot Captain/Councilor Anderson and Spawn

  • This movie was sooooooo creepy. I do not recommend it at all.

  • @Fearless5001 I was 10 when I saw it.I wanted to be Coraline when I was watching it.

  • @daday268 me 2

  • WOOT MONKEY BONE!

  • Coraline was one of the best movies to come out in 2009.

  • although i havent seen coraline< for some reason,it reminds me of the sea of black tears from brutal legend.

  • i LOVE this movie!!!!

my brother got scared and started to scream his head off

    i couldn't stop laughing!!

everyone thinks this movie is scary :S

no way could this movie be scary in any way!!!

  • @cesprincess Well, compared to other ACTUAL scary movies, it's not scary. But technically, this being a kids movie is pretty scary.

  • @drumboy1313 my brothers 11 : |

  • Y'know, my cousin, Rich Shirk, was a bit writer in this movie. I only Netflixed it due to his request.

  • this movie is scary as fuck...im serious, saw and other horror movies dont even compare cause this fucks with your mind from a child's POV (mind my profanity, but if you've seen this movie then you would know)

    -scary as shit!

  • So thats what you found, Cory? Mabye I should take a peak in my attic... :D

  • movie looks interesting, i will go watch it sometime!!!

  • I always thought it was like a kids horror movie but also it's just like any movie, theres nothing 'WOW' about it

  • I LOVED this movie!

  • even though I am waaaay too old for these movies, it was reeeaaaally good. I watched it with my six year old sister on HBO on demand. I would say a matinee

  • @cozygrl Im a bit old for this movie also, & I really liked to too.

  • fantastic mr.Fox really shouldn't have been stop-motion, if you've seen that movie you'd really hate stop-motion, but this movie really made use of it! =D

  • High matinee. It was totally awesome!!

  • keith david is my fave

  • i fukkin loved his movie

  • personally, this beats the crap out of nightmare before christmas. That was a good film but this was better. I loved it.

  • Idk it was just nice but it just didn't have the same effect as some of his other movies hard to point out what though just boring for me sure had the tim burton feel but not the quality.

  • man..like moving all of the figures that many times....for the first 10 seconds, i would have just given up

  • What I loved about Coraline was the fact that it proved CG can't do everything-There's a whole different charm to every kind of animation, but stop motion is by far one of the most impressive. I mean, with CG they don't put the same kind of tedious effort into every frame, like they did with Coraline-I'm not saying it's not hard to make CG movies but I just like stop-motion better :D

Although it still doesn't trump anime movies X3

  • This movie was a High Full Price. I really just loved this film. I was really scared too and I'm not afraid to admit it.
