Is anyone familar with Zyprexa/Olanzapine?!! I have been prescribed this as a muscle relaxant to help me sleep, but all the online info says its to treat Bi Polar?? Woops doc, i have EDS not bi-polar! Can anyone help this mentaly balanced, tight muscled EDS sufferer?

The journey to my EDS diagnosis involved doctors who only look for the obvious, suspecting my wonderful parents of abuse when I broke my arm rolling off the sofa at 18 months. Finally a doctor who "looks for zebras", to use the metaphor, noticed my blue sclera, thought it might be OI, sent me to a specialist who said not OI, but EDS. We need more doctors like that. The others could have eventually taken me away from wonderful parents.

You go girl and remember anything is achievable:) my daughter has Eds and I tell her all the time that she can do anything if she wants to it just takes courage to go for it despite the disability....
I have Cushing's Disease, and, like Sharmyn, went from a size 2 to maternity clothes. I've seen 4 endos & many other internists, surgeons, etc. I hope you can help someone in my situation in the future. I'm from MI too, so I know the need for some well trained endocrinologists in our area. If you are serious, you should contact Dr. Schteingart @ U of M or Dr. Wisgerhof (my current endo) @ Henry Ford Hospital. They are the best in the state.

i found out this monday that i might have EDS from my martial arts teacher that also have it.
he recognised the symptoms when i showed him how stretchy i was and how little sleep i get.
i haven't goten a diagnosis yet but i hope i'll get one next monday.
just wanted too let you know that i know what you are going thru and i hope for the best.
