Chiyoko has become one of my favorite fictional characters. Her attitude towards life was very inspiring and affirming to me. I was close to tears by the end of it...
I really LOVED Kon's TV Series Paranoia Agent, and his two movies that I saw were great (Perfect Blue and Paprika). I have yet to see this and Tokyo Godfather, but I hear good things about them. This was a nice review, because it gave me a heads up into if I will like it or not. Seems interesting so perhaps I'll check this movie out one day, although I would have liked if it had a dub.
One of my favorite films of all time, not just anime, but in general. So beautiful and poignant. Mah day is made just remembering it.
I'm one of those weirdos who LOVED the last line of the movie. I know for a lot of people it puts them off and they don't understand how she could say such a thing. I thought that was the entire point of the movie.
Close. My daypack is an aqua-pack, which holds 2.5 liters of water that I can sip anytime through the bite valve (bite down to open.) I think they were originally developed for hands-free use by racing cyclists, but they are a really convenient way to pack a lot of water across the desert.

Looks like a great movie, Gramps. That said, Genyi and the actress remind me of Harold and Maude, for some reason...
Thanks for the review!

One of my favorite anime movies. The art is amazing, especially in the beginning with the subdued colors.

Athother good review, I enjoyed perfect blue so I may well give this a shot.
Still, I'm always really jealous of the terrain you have access to, I'd like to get out there some time to do a bit of hiking myself.

ultra light clothes (nylon, I presume?) and a camelbak aqua-pack. A great way to dress for reviewing anime and wondering the hot desert.

Maybe the original designer read Herbert. :)
