Don't worry, the degree is totally useless today. Nobody will hire a new grad and the market is flooded with new grads and "stale grads". Better start thinking of a career change because your job will be filled by a filipino. RN--BSN=useless degree. Google "RN New Grad no jobs" to see what I mean.
aaqaaqaaqaaqaaqaaqaa what do you mean? I haven't even graduated yet, and I have a job lined up, but I have a scholarship with the hospital as well. For nursing students, don't be discouraged, though older nurses aren't retiring now and are coming back into the workforce due to the economy, there are ways of getting your foot in the door in order to have a job after graduating. @rss22 Consider working PRN in an hospital as a Nurse Tech or CNA (if certified)once you complete your Med/Surg rotation, most hospitals won't hire u as a Nurse Tech until this rotation is complete. Look around for nurse externship opportunities. Depending on the time you'll be graduating, you may have the opportunity to work under a nurse during the summer, it's a great opportunity and will help you become more comfortable in the clinical setting. @rss22 For those interested in caring for the elderly, don't forget about the nursing home, you may be able to work there as a nursing assistant while obtaining your CNA license. Also, home health/in home care agencies are good. You work in a pts home, helping clean the house, and perhaps providing basic care such as bathing, toileting, etc. Working with these various companies allows them to get to know you, and gives you a an advantage when applying for a job upon graduating. God Bless.
@aaqaaqaaqaaqaaqaaqaa you're an idiot. There are plenty of jobs. Once you have your RN there is an entire world of job opportunity for you! Especially in Florida where she is located.
Thanks... my sis was like "why don't you use your camera instead of the webcam?" I felt stupid then. Finally, got my camera back... i sent you a comment on nurse nicole. w/b
