  • ive seen a few videos on youtube about this. i watched this video about a year ago and it worked awesome and i was so happy. i now need to do this process and browsed a few crappy videos that didnt really tell me how. i clicked this one, heard your voice and was like "fuck yeah its this guy".

  • One problem I had was that I accidentally mounting it using the mac os, and then tried to open the iso in burn, but it couldn't read it, the solution was just a simple eject of the image of the desktop and then trying to reopen it :) hope this helps if anyone else has this issue :P

  • I like what you said at the end. I completely agree, Linux is much more secure than Windows. And if you're good at programming and open source, it's a much more productive OS as well.

  • @stevencombs my lubuntu.iso image isn't recognised by burn for some reason all it says is  hdiutil: imageinfo failed - not recognized

  • Can this tutorial work for any kind of ISO? such as movie or game? (I wanted to make a burned copy of my Kingdom Hearts game so I have it with me incase if anything happens)

  • thanks! that copy button is confusing. ISO is data file and one would think that burning ISO would fall under data tab like what you mentioned.

    i used Disk Utility in mac to burn ISO.

    Would you be interested in telling me how to make an iso image? I am new and a little confused.

    This is my problem.....I have 60 dvds(motion graphic from Digital Juice) that I want to put onto one external harddrive, so when the program calls for a dvd to render, I just connect my external drive. It's better than sorting through all of the dvds each time.

  • I doesn't make a copy of the game i want on the dvd, it just puts the iso on the dvd (so that it opens a finder window with a bunch of stuff when i open it).

    all of the other ways are not even legit

    ive wasted so many cd's transfering the iso to a cd then on to

    a windows computer then another cd etc etc

  • .iso files are not actually compressed, they're just containers. You could say they're like folders, but they are files.

  • magiciso is a great and advanced program, if you like those type, you can burn isos to cds and vice versa

  • when i insert a dvd maxell 4.7 (only disc i got) it spits it out. however it does read them if they got date inside. any tips? i can try burning them in windows XP aswell but what program would you suggest?

  • Sadly no, My 2 cents is- that my DVD just aren't supported on my DVDROM but however it does work on my 2rd PC which happens to be newer and has a DVD burner which is why we can't burn them i know for sure it reads them. so try buying DVDs that work for your DVD driver

  • You can search google for "burn iso images using disk utility" but for a summary you open disk utility, drag the iso file to the left pane so that it shows, and click the burn button (at the top) and then burn
